Meet April Clay! 🐴

April Clay, M.Ed., Registered Psychologist, brings over 20 years of experience in clinical, counselling, and sport psychology. A former competitive show jumper, April has a particular interest in the mental demands of equestrian sport, helping riders build confidence, improve focus, and perform under pressure.

April brings together her experience as a psychologist, athlete, educator, and lifelong student of human behaviour to help riders better understand themselves, communicate more effectively with their horses, and perform with greater confidence and flexibility.

Join April and our other presenters at the SHF Coaching Symposium 2026 at the Moose Jaw exhibition November 7th-8th as she shares her knowledge, experience, and passion. 🐎

Tara Lambie is an educator, Equestrian Canada Competition Coach, and NCCP Master Coach Developer with a focus on athlete development, coach education, and sustainable equestrian pathways.

With a background in education, curriculum development, and equestrian sport, Tara brings a practical, learner-centred approach to helping coaches and athletes continue to learn and grow.
