Founded in 1987 by WWII and Korean War veteran, Fred Anderson, the Peterborough Musicfest stage in Del Crary Park has hosted the likes of City & Colour (solo), Crash Test Dummies, Carly Rae Jepsen, Big Wreck, Tegan and Sara, Our Lady Peace, Tom Cochrane, The Reklaws, Kiefer Sutherland, Walk Off the Earth, Tyler Shaw, Randy Bachman, Terri Clark, and many more. The quality of our line-up generates a
sizeable audience – some 135,000 in 2019 – which in turn provides an economic boost that helps fuel our downtown and area tourist attractions. An economic impact study commissioned in 2016 pegged the number at $4.2 million; a significant shot in the arm for our hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes, and tourist attractions. Musicfest also helps create the equivalent of 44 jobs throughout its annual summer run. Peterborough Musicfest is a wholly independent non-profit organization (not owned or run by the City of Peterborough). We are funded through corporate sponsorship, government support at all levels, fundraising initiatives, and private donations. All of which allows us to remain steadfastly, and uniquely, free of charge for our audience. We’re proud of what we’ve built, and we invite you to be part of it.
