The next generation of waterfowlers is getting ready for another memorable day in the field.

The Rondeau Bay Waterfowlers Association Youth Duck Hunt is taking place Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Rondeau Provincial Park.

Youth waterfowl hunts have been an incredible success in recent years, giving young hunters an opportunity to experience the outdoors, learn about responsible waterfowl hunting and build memories that can last a lifetime.

The event is also about more than a day in the field — it's about helping preserve Ontario's waterfowling heritage and passing these traditions on to the next generation.

Interested in participating? Visit www.rondeauwaterfowlers.com to register or learn more.

Let's continue introducing young people to the outdoors and keeping Ontario's hunting traditions strong.

The Owen Sound Salmon Spectacular is back — Friday, August 28 to Sunday, September 6, 2026!

For over 35 years, this incredible 10-day festival has brought anglers, families, and outdoor enthusiasts together to celebrate fishing, community, and the great outdoors.

With $175,000+ in prizes, fishing and family activities, huge fish fries, kids’ activities, and entertainment, the event is about much more than fishing. It helps support conservation, fish stocking, hatchery programs, habitat restoration, and outdoor education.

Proudly run by the Sydenham Sportsmen’s Association, a dedicated OFAH-affiliated club, the event reflects a strong commitment to conservation, responsible outdoor recreation, and giving back to the community. Come for the fishing. Stay for the fun. Support conservation and be part of a tradition that makes a difference!

Want to protect your lakes from aquatic invasive species? Always CLEAN, DRAIN, DRY any watercraft and related equipment you’re moving from one waterbody to another!

CLEAN - A visual inspection to remove any plants, animals, or algae stuck to your boat and related equipment.

DRAIN - Pull your transom plug, drain the livewell, and open all other water-holding devices before leaving the boat launch.

DRY - Drying is not a legal requirement, however, to eliminate unseen organisms, you should leave your boat in the sun for at least 5 days.

Have you seen an invasive species? Take a photo, note your location, and call the Invading Species Hotline at 1-800-563-7711 or report online at www.EDDMapS.org.
