đź’Ś Just over two weeks remain to experience "JoEllen Brydon | Elizabeth Thompson Advises" at the AGP.

Drawing from the archive of her mother, Jean Armstrong Brydon, who wrote as “Elizabeth Thompson” for The Globe and Mail from 1966 to 1978, JoEllen Brydon Art transforms decades-old letters, advice columns, and personal histories into a vibrant multimedia exhibition. Through painting, audio, and installation, the exhibition explores the stories we share, the questions we carry, and the ways we make sense of ourselves and the world around us.

Thoughtful, moving, and deeply human, this exhibition offers a unique window into a period of social change while inviting reflection on experiences that continue to resonate today.

"Every frog had a story, every pig had a purpose, and every mouse had meaning."

We are saddened to hear that our world no longer has a Eugenie Fernandes in it. Eugenie had an incredible impact on our arts community, one that reaches far beyond through her artwork, children's books, and illustrations. Always ready to spark the next moment of joy, inspiration, and creativity, Eugenie created so many memorable moments in our gallery for children of all ages to find their voice through art and story.

Through all the kitten seasons, we thank you Eugenie.

Celebrate the life of Eugenie "Jane" Fernandes and join others in sharing memories, stories, and condolences.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Special Reception in celebration of the All About ART Exhibition at the Art Gallery of Peterborough! It was a wonderful evening celebrating the artists, sponsors, donors, members, and supporters of the gallery. ✨

We are grateful to the many artists who contributed their work, and to everyone who attended, connected with one another, and helped make the evening so special.

Thank you to Missy Knott for providing the evening’s music, and to Chemong Lodge - Home of Country Dining for the incredible catering. We are also deeply appreciative of our sponsors and supporters whose ongoing commitment helps sustain the gallery’s exhibitions, programs, and community initiatives.

There is still time to support the gallery through the All About ART Exhibition. Artwork remains available for purchase until June 21, with proceeds supporting the AGP and its year-round programming. We invite you to visit the exhibition and discover the exceptional work on view.
