A safe place to call home is the foundation for independence, comfort and belonging!

We are grateful to the Ontario Government for investing $151,500 in fire safety systems at Community Living Central York’s new Water Street home.

This important funding will ensure that the individuals who will call Water Street home have a safe, comfortable, and welcoming place to live, where they can enjoy greater independence and a sense of belonging.

A special thank you to MPP Dawn Gallagher Murphy for joining us to present the cheque and recognize this important investment in inclusive housing.

Together, we are building a community where everyone belongs.

Our Jeans & Gems Fiesta was one to remember! 💎

On October 22, Newmarket Old Town Hall was filled with margaritas, tacos, live mariachi, games, prizes and a dance floor that stayed busy all night long. 💃

Every laugh, toast and dance helped support our inclusive housing initiative and brought us one step closer to a community where everyone belongs. 💙

Celebrating the Power of Partnership!

Community Living Central York is honoured to receive the Community Partnership Award from Your Support Services Network (YSSN), recognizing the impact of our collaboration in supporting individuals with diverse abilities and families experiencing crisis.

Together, we've demonstrated how innovative partnerships can strengthen our community, prevent crises, and create meaningful, cost-effective solutions.

Our 2025–2026 partnership impact:

20 individuals supported through our collaborative respite initiative.

276 nights of respite provided, offering stability, relief and essential support to individuals and families.

$96,600 in estimated system cost savings, demonstrating the value of proactive, community-based supports compared to more costly out-of-region placements.

Beyond the numbers, this partnership has helped families navigate challenging circumstances, reduced caregiver burnout, prevented crisis escalation and supported individuals in accessing longer-term funded services.

This award celebrates what is possible when organizations work together with a shared vision of inclusion, independence and belonging.

Our sincere thanks to YSSN, our dedicated CLCY team and our community partners for their commitment, collaboration, and compassion.
