From Call to Care is a practical, evidence-informed workshop designed for police officers, firefighters, paramedics, emergency dispatchers, and community safety professionals to better understand Autism and practical strategies for responding more effectively during emergency situations, helping to improve outcomes for everyone involved.

You will learn to recognize potential indicators of Autism, understand safety considerations, and apply evidence-based strategies to support Autistic people in emergency situations.

Training packages can be tailored to your team's needs, with in-person and virtual delivery options available.

Every emergency interaction matters. Our Autism-informed emergency services training helps police officers, firefighters, paramedics and community safety professionals better understand Autism and respond more effectively to improve outcomes.

Through practical, evidence-informed training - including our From Call to Care workshop - participants are better able to recognize communication and sensory differences, adapt their responses, and help reduce unnecessary escalation during emergency interactions.

Our Newmarket ABA Summer Camp gives children ages 8-12 the opportunity to build friendships, strengthen social skills and grow their confidence through engaging, interactive activities in a supportive environment led by experienced professionals.

🕑30 hours of camp programming

The Kerry’s Place Golf Classic has always been a special day for us and this year was no exception. The milestone 30th anniversary edition took place on June 18 and we raised $136,250.00, an increase over 2025. We’ve now raised over $1.2 million since inception. 🙌🏼⛳

We were thrilled to celebrate with so many supporters - from sponsors to participants - who golfed and enjoyed on-course contests, samples, a live auction, dinner and compelling speakers. Thank you so much for your support!

Events like these just don’t happen – they take considerable work to execute. Kerry’s Place is fortunate to have a steering committee comprised of a dedicated volunteer group of community-builders that starts meeting in January to begin driving the initiative forward.

➡️Many are local business owners; others hail from the private sector.
➡️They generously draw from their professional and personal networks to encourage participation, sponsorships and in-kind donations.
➡️Most have been on the golf committee for years. Kathy Abels, the longest-serving member, has supported 27 ‘classics’!

The event would not be the success it is without their gracious leadership, and we are grateful to have them in our corner. 💙

Proceeds from this event will flow to our muti-year housing strategy and will directly support renovations and expansion to create sensory-friendly, accessible, and tailored housing to address the staggering waitlist of 28,000 Autistic adults in Ontario waiting for housing supports.

Autistic children and adolescents are 4 times more likely than non-Autistic people to be gender diverse, highlighting the importance of accessible support that helps individuals, caregivers and families feel informed, connected, and supported. 💙

Looking for a free, welcoming way to spend time together as a family? 💙

Join us for Family Fun Night, a monthly in-person event where families can connect, play, and make lasting memories in a supportive and inclusive environment. 🎲

Families can enjoy a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, board games, conversation, and opportunities for children and youth to build peer relationships. Caregivers will stay and participate, and siblings are more than welcome too!

Family Fun Night is offered monthly in Toronto, Barrie, Durham, Brampton, Guelph, and Newmarket.

Whether you’re looking to meet other families, try something new, or enjoy a fun evening together, this is a great opportunity to take part in.
