We LOVE receiving photos of your kiddos reading our books! And there is something incredibly special about seeing a child reading Jackson and the N.P.O. Quest for the very first time.

Jackson’s story is about courage, friendship and finding strength through the challenges that come with childhood illness.

But we’re dreaming of making this story even more magical!

We want to bring Jackson, Rose and their adorable dragon, Pickle, to life as plush companions — so children can have their favourite characters right beside them as they read.

✨ And we need your help to make it happen!

Enchanted Hope Foundation is looking for businesses, corporate partners and community-minded sponsors who want to make a meaningful difference.

We’re looking for partners to help us:

This is my daughter Alice looking at her port for the first time. It was hard for her - she was two and going through something no one should.

And it became a moment in my first book Princess Lily Earns Her Beads.

I created Lily because children facing cancer and serious illness deserve to see themselves in stories, too. Stories that remind them they aren’t alone, that their feelings matter, and that they can still be the heroes of their own adventures.

Because representation isn’t just about seeing yourself in a book. It’s about feeling understood.

We are so excited to welcome Leah to our Junior Board!

Leah Knuff is a 14-year-old Grade 10 student from Barrie, Ontario, with a passion for dance, community involvement, and creative storytelling through social media.
Leah loves bringing events to life by capturing special moments and sharing them online, allowing others to experience the excitement, joy, and inspiration behind each event. With a creative eye and a love for making content, she enjoys showcasing the people, stories, and experiences that make every occasion memorable.
Beyond her creativity, Leah is passionate about giving back to her community and finding ways to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Whether she is dancing, supporting community initiatives, or creating engaging social media content, Leah brings enthusiasm, creativity, and heart to everything she does.
Her goal is to use her passion for social media and storytelling to inspire others, celebrate meaningful experiences, and help bring communities closer together — one moment, one event, and one story at a time.

Siblings matter too

When a child faces cancer or serious illness, their brothers and sisters can experience changes and emotions that deserve understanding and support.

That’s why we believe stories should make room for them, too.

Through books like Princess Lily and the Mermaid Lagoon, we want children to know that their feelings matter and that they have a place in the story.

Because every child deserves to feel seen.

Big ideas, fresh focus, and exciting plans for 2027!

This morning, I had a wonderful meeting with Lori Brunton , an amazing member of our Board of Directors, brainstorming ideas, sharing thoughts, and getting focused on our goals for the year ahead.

At Enchanted Hope Foundation, we’re working towards an exciting future — growing our book and character plushie universe, reaching more children and families affected by cancer and serious illness, and finding new ways to bring comfort, joy, and hope through our stories.

There’s so much we want to achieve, and having passionate people around the table who believe in our mission makes it even more exciting.

Help us bring more stories and plushies to life!

Enchanted Hope Foundation is a registered Canadian charity building a universe of books and characters to help children facing serious illness and their siblings feel less alone.

We have seven books and eight characters — and we want to bring this collection to more children.

Our next step is funding the printing of our books and the production of our character plushies.

Meet Princess Alannah. She has neurofibromatosis, ADHD and a physical challenge that makes her tail weaker than other mermaids’.

I created her story to make space for children whose experiences may not always be represented in the books they read. Because everyone deserves to be the hero of their own story.

Meet Princess Alannah!

Alannah is a mermaid princess with neurofibromatosis, ADHD and a tail that isn’t as strong as those of the other mermaids.

Her story is part of our mission to help children see themselves reflected in the books they read — including children whose experiences aren’t always represented in children’s literature.

Because a diagnosis, a disability or a challenge is only one part of someone’s story.
