Domino is a handsome black-and-white boy just over a year old, and he’s ready to finally experience the life he deserves.

For most of his life, Domino has been kept out of the spotlight—literally—spending his days in a cage tucked away in a closet. Because of a mis-sexing situation, he’s also been moved around more than he should have been. Despite all of that change and uncertainty, Domino has remained a sweet, gentle little guy.

He’s still learning that the world can be a safe and happy place, so he’ll need a patient home willing to give him time to settle in and build trust. With consistency, kindness, and plenty of veggies, we know his personality will continue to shine.

Domino would do best in a home that understands guinea pig care and is ready to give him the space, enrichment, and companionship he’s been missing.

His rehoming fee is $25.

We’re excited to share that we’ll be at the Mega Market at the Wheatsheaf Ball Field in Cedar on Saturday, June 6th from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM!

Stop by our booth to meet our team, learn more about rabbit rescue, adoption, fostering, and the work we do in our community. We’ll also have a variety of goodies available, with proceeds helping support the rabbits in our care. 🐰💕

For over a year, Strawberry & Cream have watched other bunnies come and go while they stayed behind.

They’ve watched neighbours move into foster homes, find families, and finally get the happy endings they deserved. Meanwhile, these two have continued doing what they’ve always done best — loving each other.

If you’ve ever visited us, you’ve probably met Cream. Everyone falls for him instantly. He’s our giant teddy bear bunny with the softest personality and the sweetest face. And wherever Cream goes, Strawberry is never far behind. She absolutely adores him. She follows him everywhere, snuggles into him for comfort, and looks at him like he hung the moon.

They are the kind of bonded pair people dream of finding.

But somehow, despite how special they are, they’ve been overlooked time and time again.

Maybe it’s because they’re seniors.
Maybe it’s because Cream carries a little extra fluff around his middle.
Maybe people keep waiting for the “perfect” bunny.

But honestly? These two already are perfect.

Cream recently had a full health check after gaining some extra weight, and the verdict was simple: he just really loves snacks. Since starting his wellness journey, he’s already lost a couple hundred grams, and we’re so proud of him. Strawberry has been there every step of the way, faithfully supporting her boy through it all.

What they want most isn’t endless treats or a fancy setup.

They want a home.

A soft place to land.
Someone who will laugh at Cream’s snack obsession.
Someone who will cherish the way Strawberry melts into him when she feels safe.
Someone who sees senior bunnies not as “less time,” but as some of the most grateful, loving companions you could ever meet.

After more than a year in care, we would love nothing more than to finally see Strawberry & Cream get the forever family they’ve been waiting so patiently for.

We got Missy’s latest urine and blood test results back and thankfully there was nothing remarkable found. With an accessible litter box setup, she’s actually been doing quite well and keeping herself pretty tidy!

This sweet girl greets you with little boops and melts into pets every chance she gets. She absolutely loves attention and has such a gentle, loving personality.

Aside from her mobility challenges, Missy is truly a total doll. She deserves a home where she can continue to thrive, be loved for exactly who she is, and spend her days soaking up affection and cuddling her favourite Squishmallows.

We really hope her special person comes along soon and gives her the beautiful life she deserves.

Another successful spay & neuter day in the books and we’re finally on our way back home ⛴️🐰

Today’s crew included Dottie, Peanut, Walnut, Ollie, Pablo, Maple, Willow, and Emory (all absolute little champions through their surgeries and recovery).

We’re especially excited to share that Dottie, Peanut, Walnut, and Pablo are now officially ready to start searching for their forever homes! 🏡✨
These sweet buns are fully vetted and waiting for the perfect families to fall in love with them.

Meanwhile, Ollie, Maple, Willow, and Emory will soon be heading back home to their loving people after getting the care they needed.

Today alone cost around $1,500 in veterinary expenses. Between constant intakes, abandoned rabbits, and growing litters of kits needing future surgeries before adoption, the costs add up incredibly fast. Spays and neuters are one of the most important things we do to help improve health, behaviour, and prevent even more unwanted rabbits from ending up homeless.

If you’d like to help support these little ones and future rescue buns needing care, donations are always deeply appreciated 💕 Every dollar truly makes a difference for animals like these.

These two bonded black bunnies have been absolutely soaking up the sunshine lately and it’s been so sweet watching them enjoy it together.

Harley (born Dec 19, 2022) and Pepper (born July 1, 2023) have grown inseparable during their time in care. After everything they’ve been through, they’ve found their safe place in each other and now they’re enjoying the simple joys of life side by side.

Lately, that means stretching out in warm sun patches, flopping after a good dig session, and then heading straight back to their favourite thing… cuddling up together like two little shadows in their prized banana box.

Their personalities are the sweetest too digging, ripping paper, and making the cutest little honks when they’re excited. But this is a real softness to them now that only comes from feeling safe and settled.

Harley and Pepper are looking for a forever home where they can stay together, enjoy the sunshine, and keep living their best bonded life.

If you’ve got space for double the sweetness (and double the cardboard chaos), these two might just be your perfect match.

Kisu’s face is looking incredible. The healing progress he’s made is honestly amazing compared to where he started, and he’s starting to look like a completely different bunny in the best way.

Kisu is such a tidy, personable boy. He’s settled into a really nice routine and takes great comfort in the predictable rhythm of his day… a treat, kibbles, and fresh veg are always enthusiastically accepted. Once he knows it’s his turn for attention, he happily soaks up gentle pets and will just melt into the moment.

He’s still not a fan of being picked up, which he makes very clear, but we think that’s totally fair given all the poking and prodding. Who knows, it may even come with time and trust.

As a full black bunny, he’s statistically one of the more overlooked rabbits, and we really hope his forever family comes along soon. He’s more than ready for the next step so we can arrange his neuter and get him into a loving home where he can truly settle in.

Kisu has so much love to give he just needs the right person to see him.

A huge thank you to one of our amazing volunteers, Danielle, for noticing that some of our banana box beds were looking a little worse for wear.

Without hesitation, she sourced and gathered a whole new batch for us in less than a day, making sure our sanctuary buns could stay comfy and cosy.

Thanks to her quick thinking and kindness, some of our original sanctuary bunnies are now enjoying a little refresh in their spaces. Harley and Jasper are pictured here loving their upgraded setup and settling right in.

We are so grateful for the people who keep an eye on the little details that make a big difference for our rabbits.

We are so happy to share that Breeze is really starting to come around socially.

This once-timid girl is beginning to show us more of her personality every day gaining confidence, curiosity, and a growing comfort around people. It’s been such a beautiful shift to watch.

She is still continuing treatment for her hock as she heals from a long-term infection, but she’s making steady progress and is on the right path.

With her physical healing underway and her confidence blooming, Breeze is feeling ready for a patient foster or forever home where she can keep building trust at her own pace, enjoy soft bedding, and continue thriving in a calm and loving environment.

She’s truly turning a corner and we couldn’t be more proud of her.
