Testimonial Tuesday 💛

Sometimes the smallest moments make the biggest impact.

Having a trusted mentor to listen, spend time together, and simply show up can help a young person feel valued, supported, and confident.

This is the power of mentoring. One caring relationship can help a child feel seen, heard, and connected.

Thank you to our incredible volunteer mentors for making a difference in the lives of local children and youth every day.

Interested in becoming a mentor? We’d love to hear from you!

A BIG thank you to Freshslice Pizza for helping us celebrate the end of another In-School Mentoring season! 🍕

Throughout the school year, mentors and mentees build connections, confidence, and meaningful relationships. Celebrating those moments together is an important part of recognizing all they have accomplished.

We are grateful to community partners like Freshslice Pizza who help make these experiences possible and support local young people in our community.

Thank you for helping us end the school year with full hearts and full plates. 💙

Many people think mentoring requires special skills, endless free time, or having all the answers.

The truth is that meaningful mentoring often starts with something much simpler: showing up, listening, and being a consistent presence in a young person’s life.

Across Central Vancouver Island, local youth are waiting for mentors who can help them build confidence, connection, and a sense of belonging.

Could that person be you?

🌈 Everyone deserves a place where they feel safe, supported, and accepted.

This Pride Month, we’re celebrating the importance of belonging and recognizing the many voices, experiences, and identities that make our communities stronger.

At BBBSCVI, we believe every young person deserves to be valued for who they are and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Because when young people know they belong, they can thrive.

Happy Pride Month 💛

Mentorship starts long before two people are matched.

It takes planning, community support, volunteer coordination, and ongoing guidance to help relationships grow and succeed.

That’s what the 50 Doors Campaign is helping make possible across Central Vancouver Island.

Mentorship is built through everyday moments.

Conversations, encouragement, shared experiences, and simply knowing someone is in your corner can help a young person grow in confidence.
