Nanaimo Healing Rooms 2017 We will be closed on Saturday June 22, 2024 What We Believe:
We believe the 53rd Chapter of Isaiah holds the key to our redemption, spiritual and physical.

Isaiah 53:6 says, “...the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” This verse provides for our salvation. In Isaiah 53:4 it says, in the Hebrew, “Surely He has borne our sicknesses, and carried our pains.” This verse provides for healing. Matthew takes this verse from the Old Testament to the new in Matthew 8:17 when he says, “That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet,

saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.”
If we can believe that God laid our iniquities on Jesus, and because He laid our iniquities on Him there is salvation for us, then we can also believe what Isaiah tells us that He also laid our sicknesses and disease on Jesus and because of that healing is for us also. We believe the Word is the seed, that when planted will produce an abundant harvest. We must first understand God’s Word for the provision of healing before we can possess its manifestation. We therefore share God’s Word on healing, before we pray, to produce prevailing faith in the hearer that becomes the substance of things hoped for and is evidenced in the manifestation of healing. We believe there is a filling of the Holy Spirit that is available to every Christian. The Holy Spirit has an anointing that produces power and can be received and increased through a yielded life. We believe in the nine gifts of the Spirit and the importance of the fruit of the Spirit, which empowers the gifts. Each prayer servant in this ministry must be called by God, yielded to His Holy Spirit, seek an increase in anointing, be open to operate in any gift of the Spirit that is necessary to minister life to the infirmed, draw daily from the Word and in prayer; and continually give God the Glory for what He has done. Each prayer servant must not only minister to the sick, but should be helping to equip others in the body to do the same. This ministry and its servants serve the body of Christ and are submitted to its leadership. We look for this leadership to give us spiritual support, to come alongside and in our unity provide the strength and power to see the sick set free.

LEARN TO BE A TREE: In Matthew 7 it says you will know a tree by its fruit. The fruit only tells you what kind of tree you are dealing with. The focus is the tree.
We tend to focus on the fruit. If I can just produce righteousness, I'll be righteous. But that's not what that passage in Matthew is saying. the fruit doesn't make the tree. It's the tree that makes the fruit. The secret is producing fruit is to be a tree.
Good works don't produce good people. Good people produce good works. Christian work don't produce Christians, Christians produce Christian works.
Stay in Christ and become what He made you to be. And if you have the heart of Jesus, the heart of love, the Spirit of God, your life will be filled abundantly and the overflow will produce the fruits of the Spirit.
"Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me (John 15:4).

Why doesn't everyone get healed? More often than not, people who are prayed for do experience healing but not all do. It is a mystery why this is so but there seems to be factors that impede heling in some cases, e.g. the people praying do not have an intimate relationship with God, are praying for the wrong reasons, or are double-minded (not fully trusting that healing will occur).
The people praying are not relying on the Holy Spirit but trying to do it in their own strength.
There is a lack of zeal, persistence and commitment on the part of those praying. The sick person has unconfessed sin, bitterness and unforgiveness toward others. Je3sus showed us that spiritual and physical healing go hand in hand.
The afflicted person is careless in their speech, taking ownership of their sickness and frequently proclaiming it.
The sick person is unsure how they will manage if they were free from disease.
The good news is that many of these factors can be identified through discussion and dealt with in prayer.

The secret of leaning: A missionary on a South Sea Island was translating the Bible and ran into some difficulty because the islanders didn't have a word for 'belief' or 'faith'. One day, one of the islanders came into his study. The man was exhausted and sprawled out across a couple of chairs. He used a word in the language of his tribe which meant 'to lean your whole weight upon'. The missionary now had his word of faith and belief. Biblical faith isn't just to accept something you haven't seen, it's a choice. When David said, 'I will trust in the Lord', he was making a choice. He was strengthening himself in the Lord during a difficult time. Biblical faith is make the decision to lean your whole weight upon, and put everything on, the Lord. God wants you to live your life leaning on Him. It is written in the Son of Solomon, 'Who is this who comes up from the wilderness, leaning on her beloved?' Lean your whole weight of faith and belief on the Lord because He is strong enough, willing, and cares enough to carry it (1 Peter 5:7).
