On June 7th, the Mid Island Move to Cure ALS will take place at Parksville Civic & Technology Centre.

This year's event would not be possible without our amazing event coordinators: Colby, Shannon, and Erin!

Colby Woit volunteers in honour of his father, Blaine Wolt, who passed away from ALS in 2006. Originally from North Vancouver, Colby moved to the island five years ago, where he is now raising his two young sons.

Shannon Cavey is a dedicated wife, mom, and stepmom with a passion for supporting the ALS community. After losing her mother, Jennifer, to ALS in 2020, and witnessing the challenges of this disease Shannon was inspired to volunteer.

Erin Cummings lives in Nanaimo with her teenage daughter, Peyten, and their cat, Penny. After the passing of her boyfriend Jordan Meyers in 2021, Erin has been involved supporting the ALS Society of BC through annual ALS BC Golf Tournaments.
