Last night, NiGiNan Housing Ventures had the privilege of welcoming members of the Spruce Avenue community to learn more about our work, our Indigenous-led recovery model, and the future of Ambrose Place 2.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who took the time to attend, ask thoughtful questions, share perspectives, and engage in meaningful conversation. Strong communities are built through relationships, transparency, and partnership, and we are grateful for the opportunity to connect with our neighbours.
Presentations were provided by CEO Keri Cardinal, Director of Housing and Programs Christine Davies, David Gibbs from Chandos Construction, and Tai Ziola and Lauren Staples from DIALOG, who shared information about Ambrose Place 2, our newest supportive housing development that is preparing to break ground this spring.
We would also like to thank MLA David Shepherd, MLA Janis Irwin, Councillor Anne Stevenson, and representatives from the City of Edmonton for joining us, participating in the discussion, and showing their support for Indigenous-led housing solutions.
A special thank you as well to NHV Board Members Lillian Sissons and Marisa Redmond for their attendance and ongoing leadership and support.
At NiGiNan Housing Ventures, we believe housing is more than a building—it is a foundation for healing, belonging, and community. We look forward to continuing to build strong partnerships with Spruce Avenue as Ambrose Place 2 moves from vision to reality.
