A very special thank you to Jake's Framing for all the incredible work you’ve done for us over the years.

Most recently, Jake created a beautiful commemorative frame that was presented to Bob Layton at the Air 1 25th Anniversary Gala - a fitting way to recognize an incredible milestone and the people who have been part of the Air 1 story.

We’re so grateful for your continued support and the beautiful work you do for us. Thank you, Jake!

Happy 25th Anniversary, Air 1!

Last Saturday, we celebrated an incredible milestone - 25 years of Air 1 watching over Edmonton from above.

Since taking its first patrol flight in August 2001, Air 1 has become an important part of keeping our city safe. From the skies, the Flight Operations team provides a unique vantage point for officers on the ground - helping locate suspects, track stolen vehicles, search for missing people, assist with high-risk incidents and respond to emergencies.

With powerful infrared technology and an advanced camera system, Air 1 can search areas that are difficult to see from the ground and provide critical information to officers below.

For 25 years, Air 1 and it’s dedicated crews have been eyes in the sky and a vital partner on the ground, helping protect our community day and night.

Here’s to 25 years of service and many more years of keeping Edmonton safe from above. Congratulations!

Today, we’re saying a HUGE thank you to our amazing volunteers.

Our event simply could not happen without the incredible support of the people who give their time to help make our race day possible. From keeping things running smoothly to cheering on our participants, you played such an important part in making the EPS Half Marathon a success and we’re so grateful for each and every one of you.

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on this wonderful group from Neighborhood Watch, who generously volunteered their time and energy to be part of our event.

Thank you for showing up, pitching in, and helping create such a special day for our community. We couldn’t have done it without you!

What a day, Edmonton!

Perfect weather, 900 runners, more than 100 incredible volunteers, amazing sponsors and booth participants, enthusiastic spectators, and a terrific community coming together for the 2026 EPS Half Marathon.

We’ve received hundreds of wonderful comments since yesterday, and we want you to know just how much we appreciate every kind word, message and bit of feedback. It truly means so much to us.

A huge thank you to everyone who laced up and joined us, to our volunteers who kept everything moving, to our sponsors and booth participants who helped bring the event to life, and to every spectator who came out to cheer.

And a very special thank you to everyone at the Edmonton Police Service who helped make the day so meaningful. It was fantastic to see our community meeting EPS members, asking questions and learning more about the incredible work happening across different departments and units.

At its heart, the EPS Half Marathon is about bringing people together - and watching our community connect with police in such a positive and welcoming way was truly special.

We couldn’t have done it without every single one of you.

Thank you, Edmonton, for making the 2026 EPS Half Marathon a day to remember!
