At last week’s Bustin’ for Badges, we had the privilege of hearing from two remarkable young women whose courage and resilience left a lasting impact on everyone at the event.

Kristen and Rain shared their personal journeys and spoke about how EPS diversion and intervention programs—supported through EPF funding—helped them shift from difficult, unsafe circumstances toward brighter, more stable futures. Their stories were honest, hopeful, and a powerful reminder of why this work matters.

They also spoke directly to our guests about the real difference that sponsorships and donations make for people across our city. Their voices brought the purpose of this event to life.

The Edmonton Police Service joins the Ontario Provincial Police in mourning the death of OPP Constable Tarun Bali. Constable Bali was killed in the line of duty this afternoon in Hearst, Ontario.
