Have your say on Alberta’s private-sector privacy law. We’re modernizing the Personal Information Protection Act to help ensure Albertans enjoy the strongest privacy protections in today’s digital world. The act sets out the rules for how private organizations collect, use, disclose and protect personal information and has not been substantially updated since 2010.

The public engagement runs from February 2 to February 17 and Albertans, private-sector organizations and subject-matter experts are invited to take the survey and share their thoughts. This information will be considered by the Information and Privacy Commissioner to help inform the potential updates to the act and its regulations.

Take the survey by February 17: https://www.alberta.ca/release.cfm?xID=955803786C2B8-D7E3-A233-4ADC39C7A636F316
