What an incredible day of connection, culture, and community! We were thrilled to welcome about 100 volunteers
This year’s carnival was filled with culture, connection, and community joy. Alongside our amazing volunteers, we were honored to welcome a talented lineup of performers and activity hosts who made the day truly unforgettable.
Performances & Cultural Showcases
Marena Colombian Dance Group brought vibrant energy and color.
Vietnamese Dance – Em Đi Xem Hội Trăng Rằm performed by the Edmonton Vietnamese Language School filled the room with tradition and beauty.
Lion Dance by the Hong De Cultural and Athletic Association captivated families with strength and rhythm.
Chinese Drumming, also by Hong De, added powerful beats to the celebration.
Performers even stopped by the Levantine Digital Photo Booth between sets to capture the fun!
Games, Crafts & Activities
One of the crowd favorites was a stamp-earning game station created by Ada! A big hit for kids collecting stamps for prizes!
Volunteers hosted a lively balloon-twisting station and helped kids create fun inflatable headbands.
Our autumn wreath craft table, run by volunteers, gave families a chance to make something beautiful to take home.
The Edmonton Public Library set up a cozy reading corner where EPL volunteers read stories to children on a comfy mat.
A huge shoutout to Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) for sponsoring the Experience Prizes - 10 lucky families had their names drawn after the event!
Our volunteers brought so much energy! Staying at their stations, keeping everything running smoothly, and already looking forward to helping again next year!
The day was filled with vibrant performances from local community groups, fun indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, refreshments, and engaging literacy activities from Edmonton Public Library.
Families laughed, played, and connected! Truly embodying what it means to THRIVE together.
