The Ultimate Burger Battle is heating up! 🍔🔥 Zak from Prep Food Company stopped by Hustle & Heart Classic Rock 107.9 with their Black & Blue Burger which gave Mark and Alicia a chance to dig in and discover what makes this contender so delicious! (Is it the blue cheese? The jalapenos? We can't say, you have to try it to decide)

Together with Northumberland Community Legal Centre, we're releasing our Community Needs Assessment Report. Amanda Solmes, researcher at Loyalist College, will share what she learned about the challenges and emerging needs facing individuals and families across Northumberland County.

There are a few seats left and we'd love to see you there.

Members of our team stopped by a lovely event this morning - Textures, Threads, Treats & Tales at Cobourg Public Library hosted by CFUW-Northumberland branch. We walked away with fresh baked treats for our office, plus some delicious muffins for our friends at Habitat for Humanity. And one of us may have found the perfect preloved hat for winter.

Hats off to CFUW Northumberland for a wonderful morning! ❤️

Our team at United Way Northumberland is introducing something new to support our community this holiday season.

It's called Comfort & Joy, an initiative bringing staff, businesses and community together to spread a little comfort, warmth and kindness to 250 neighbours across Northumberland., because while the holidays are a time of joy and celebration for many, for others, the season can look and feel very different. And sometimes, the smallest things mean the most.

We're putting together 250 holiday boxes for children, teens, adults and seniors. Everyday essentials, a few little extras and those small comforts that can make someone's day a little brighter. ✨

We're inviting local businesses, schools and organizations to host a donation drive. Think boxes of tissues, hand cream, toothpaste and toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, tea, instant coffee, large print puzzle books or small toys for children. Imagine if everyone in your workplace donated just one item. It's in those small gestures that help fill 250 boxes!

On December 15, we're inviting participating teams to join to help pack the boxes, spread some , and share a little holiday cheer from our office in downtown Cobourg. Boxes will be packed December 15, and local agencies will be invited to pick-up December 16.

Thank you Chef Brian from Arthur's Pub for bringing the battle to the Hustle & Heart Classic Rock 107.9 studio for a special taste test!

Meet the Banquet Burger! A quarter-pound cheeseburger topped with two strips of premium bacon, served on a toasted sesame bun with all the traditional fixings: mustard, relish, onion, tomato and pickles. A classic!
