What an incredible weekend supporting TWO amazing organizations doing incredible things in Northumberland County!

🏃‍♀️Kms 4 Kids kicked off the morning - hosted by Rebound Child & Youth Services, raising an AMAZING $25,000 in support of youth mental health services! This event gets bigger and better every year! A special thank you to Bronwen for her hard work organizing such a fantastic event and to Executive Director Sam - welcome back!

🍟 In the afternoon, we stopped by Fry It Forward, hosted by Codemans Fries and Things Chip Truck in support of The Help and Legal Centre of Northumberland - where a portion of the day’s sales was donated to this wonderful organization!

The Ryan Huffman Foundation is proud to support both organizations and the meaningful work they do right here in Northumberland County!

UPTURN – YMCA Northumberland (Canada) ,

In Northumberland County, many individuals recovering from addiction or facing mental health challenges struggle to find safe, affordable, and stigma-free spaces where they can rebuild their wellbeing after leaving emergency care.

UpTurn was launched in 2022 to fill this critical gap by providing free access to YMCA facilities, personalized wellness coaching, online health resources, and compassionate support from specially trained staff.

In 3 years, 300 people have participated in the programme, with many remaining engaged for months as they build healthier routines and stronger support networks. UpTurn is demonstrating that recovery thrives when people are met with dignity, connection, and opportunities to belong.

What started 5 years ago with a vision to create change in our community has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined.

On Friday, May 8th we came together for The Ryan Huffman Foundation 5th Annual Premiere Golf Event - Presented by Cameco Ontario held at Dalewood Golf Club. Because of the incredible support from our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, donors, community partners, and every single person who showed up - we are proud to announce that together we raised $104,000.00+ in support of mental health, addiction support programs, and youth in sport.

Five years ago, we never could have imagined the impact this event would create. What we do know is this: when a community comes together with a purpose - incredible things happen.

To every sponsor who believed in this event, every golfer who registered, every volunteer who gave their time, every donor who contributed, and every person who shared, supported, and cheered us on - thank you. This number belongs to all of us!

Because of you, more people will access support when they need it most. More youth will have opportunities they otherwise may not have had. More lives will be impacted right here in our Northumberland Community!
