OCEAP - Volunteer Ground Search & Rescue Team providing emergency assistance and disaster response in Northumberland County, Ontario.

We assist local police in missing person cases, evidence searches, large events or manning road barricades / closures. It is a policy of OCEAP to post or re-post official reports from the police services of missing persons within Northumberland County and the surrounding areas. This policy includes the REMOVAL of posts once the missing person has been located. This is done to respect the privacy of the individual and to ensure that a post from OCEAP does not cause future distress.

Wonderful turnout in Downtown Port Hope for their Trick or Treat event. It was great to see the children and adults dressed up. OCEAP volunteers attended road closure barricades and handed out candy on Walton Street. Thank you to our members who attended and supplied the candy. Stay safe!

Great night of training in Cobourg. Our members participated in multiple exercises to enhance their search skills, navigation skills and techniques for medical evacuation. Night training is a crucial skill that all members are required to experience. Thanks to our members for volunteering their time and skills and keeping us ready to respond to a community emergency.
