Beverly (Bev) Sneath was born in 1953 and grew up in rural Ridgeville, continuing to reside in the Niagra region. This deep connection to her hometown and roots is evident within her paintings, with her favourite artistic themes being family, nature, and serenity. She works in many different mediums including acrylic, oil, silk painting, and drawing, though her favourite is watercolur. Her favourite subjects include portraits, florals, landscapes, animals, childrens, dancers, and ethereal fairies, saying “I paint because I have a need for the way art adds balance to my life…I want to share with the viewer that which captivates me. Bev’s paintings are graceful, but alive and vibrant with emotion. Her ability to capture light and movement is striking, truly capturing a moment in time.
Bev shares her love of art not only with her paintings, but in offering a variety of art classes and workshops within her community. She teaches classes in watercolour, acrylics, and drawing for a variety of ages, including workshops in elementary schools and private events.
A variety of Bev incredible paintings will be available for purchase during our Canada Day Weekend Fine Art Exhibit, beginning June 20th! Deb’s Circle is located at 197 Third St, Cobourg. We look forward to seeing you!
