Antigonish Women's Resource Centre & Sexual Assault Services Association The Antigonish Women’s Resource Centre (AWRC) is a feminist, community-based women's organization which opened in 1983.

SASA stands for Sexual Assault Services Association. Our centre advocates for the decision-making agency of diverse women, girls, Two-Spirit, trans and non-binary people and challenges all the societal barriers that undermine their choices, freedoms, gifts, and humanity. It is a woman friendly place to access information, to meet other women, to share knowledge, and to work on common interests and for social change. It is a place to learn form each other and to contribute to building a healthy community. Please remember we are a scent free environment.

When someone trusts you enough to share a difficult experience, your response can make a difference.

If a friend shared that something happened at a Halloween party, would you know what to say?

You don’t need to have all the answers to support someone. Start with:
💬 “I believe you.”
💬 “It wasn’t your fault.”
💬 “How can I support you?”
Flirting or sharing a kiss doesn’t mean agreeing to anything more. Everyone has the right to change their mind at any time. Boundaries must be respected.
