‼️Statement from the Students’ Union regarding the events of Homecoming weekend and the overall nature of sexualized and gender-based violence at StFX‼️

Incidents like that of this weekend do not exist in isolation. Thoroughly addressing misogyny, sexualized violence, and r**e culture requires accountability from our institutions, governments, and each of us as individuals.

We strongly encourage students to read the entire statement and join us at Take Back the Night this Thursday, October 8, at 6:30 p.m. in the Coady Gardens.

Silence and complicity allow harm to continue. We all have an important responsibility to speak up, support survivors, challenge inappropriate behaviour, and demand impactful change.
