⚾️ Looking for something to do this weekend? Head to the Jax Mac Memorial Ball Tournament for a great weekend of baseball, live entertainment, family fun, and community spirit!

Bring the whole family and enjoy Teddie’s Tent for the kids, live music with Eddie Cummings on Saturday night, and some exciting championship baseball on Sunday. Before the championship game, the Jax Mac Foundation will also recognize past grant and scholarship recipients in a special on-field ceremony.

Come out, cheer on the teams, support a wonderful cause, and help celebrate the incredible legacy of Jax Mac. 💙⚾️

If you’ve ever received a Jax Mac Foundation grant or scholarship, we’d love to see you this Sunday, August 9th, at 11:30 AM at the Lower South River Ballfield!

Before the Championship Game, we’re inviting all past recipients onto the field for a special moment. We want our community to see the incredible youth they’ve helped support through their generosity.

The Antigonish Tourism Association is happy to share that we will be hosting our second rural movie night at the Pomquet Community Centre / Société Acadienne Sainte-Croix this Friday, with doors opening at 5:15 and the movie starting at 5:30! We’ll be showing an east coast classic, Anne of Green Gables, and admissions are FREE! Thanks to our generous sponsors, we’re able to keep this initiative free for the community! Claymore Inn Justamere Cafe Old Barn Art Galleries & Gardens Wayne Melanson

We’ll also be doing a raffle-by-donation, with small prizes being drawn all night, and big prizes drawn at the end of the movie! Tickets are $2/1 or $10/6. We’ll be drawing small items for children throughout the night, and one lucky winner will walk away with a $20 Wal-Mart gift card!

So spread the word, bring your family, and get ready for a fun night with your community! Showing up shows us that this is something rural communities want, so if you enjoy entertainment in your community, make sure to make an appearance. Thanks everyone!
