We are absolutely IN AWE of this incredible donation!

Just look at all of this! New men's shoes, thongs, clothing, toiletries, cleaning products and so many practical essentials - all generously donated to support people doing it tough in our community.

These are the kinds of everyday items many of us don’t think twice about, but for someone experiencing hardship, having access to a new pair of shoes, clean clothes or basic essentials can mean so much.

A HUGE WCP thank you to the wonderful people behind this donation. Your generosity will go straight back into our community and into the hands of people who need it most.

We’re constantly blown away by the kindness that comes through our doors. Wynnum community, you really are something special 💚

Did you know WCP has its very own Pop-Up Shop? And open TOMORROW!

If money is a little tight, the kids have had another growth spurt, or you simply need a few essentials, come in and have a look. There’s no cost, no judgement and everyone is welcome.

And the best part… everything is completely FREE! 💚

You never know what you might find! 👀

By giving pre-loved items another life, you’re also helping us reduce waste and keep perfectly good things in our community. 🌏♻️

Opportunities like this make it more accessible for our local community to give, creating another way for people to support those doing it tough right here in our local community. And every donation goes directly to those in significant hardship.

Tuesday at WCP is looking bright! 💚

Just a reminder that there is NO breakfast service tomorrow (Tuesday 1st of September) - it’s the first Tuesday of the month, which means it’s Community Dinner from 4pm! 🍽️✨

There’ll still be plenty happening throughout the day, including:

💜 4 Voices 9am until 11am– connection, support and a friendly face
🧡 Orange Sky 9am to 11:30am – free laundry and shower fan
🥦 Emergency Relief 10am until 2pm – food and essential support for those doing it tough
👕 Free clothing available for anyone who needs it at no cost
🥕 Fresh produce available while supplies last
🍽️ Community Dinner – a free warm meal, good company and a welcoming place to connect 4pm to 5pm

Whether you’re needing a little extra help at the moment or simply looking for some friendly faces - WCP is here for you.

Come along, connect with local Services, and enjoy all the sparkle, bubbles and fun of WCP! There’s something for everyone!

- Free Breakfast; Bacon & Egg Rolls with tea / coffee.

ONE LAST DANCE! 🕺✨

We can’t quite believe it, but this Friday is our final Brisbane Festival Dance Workshop at WCP! 💚

Over the past few weeks, our hall has been filled with music, movement, plenty of laughs and some seriously impressive dance moves - and we’ve absolutely loved seeing our community get involved!

We’ve been jotting notes of the donations that have come through WCP recently to capture just how much generosity happens here; and realised we had quite a list - 91 donations in just three weeks!

Phones, clothing, bedding, luggage, workwear, gifts for our volunteers, flowers for our tables… and so much more.

And these are nowhere near all of them!

Every donation has someone behind it. Someone who cleaned it, packed it, carried it in, thought of us when they were clearing out a cupboard, or simply decided that something they no longer needed could make someone else’s day a little easier.

That’s the part we really love. It’s not just stuff coming through our doors. It’s our local community continually choosing to give quality items.

To those who have donated, and those showing up time and time again… we thank you. We notice. We appreciate it more than you realise. And speaking for those in need - we certainly don’t take it for granted. 💚

Our Community Dinner is back next Tuesday!
These community meals are available for anyone experiencing financial hardship, food insecurity, homelessness or simply finding it difficult to put a meal on the table right now.

There are no questions asked, no bookings and no cost - just come along, grab a plate and enjoy a warm meal in a safe and friendly space 💚

Today we’re wearing it PURPLE! 💜
WCP is proud to celebrate Wear it Purple Day - a day all about creating safe, supportive and inclusive spaces where LGBTQIA+ young people can feel proud to simply BE YOU 🌈

At WCP, we believe everyone deserves to feel welcomed, respected and accepted for exactly who they are. No judgement. No exceptions. Just community. 💜

So today we’re adding a little extra purple to WCP and standing alongside LGBTQIA+ young people to say: you are seen, you are valued, and you belong 🌈✨
