Our new community meal schedule is now in place at Wynnum Community Place.
Please note there will be no breakfast service tomorrow and instead will be held on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and/or 5th Tuesday of the month.

There is still access to:
All day breakfast bar and hydration station
Fresh produce provided by OzHarvest and Bread provided by Bakers Delight
FREE clothing and books thanks to our generous community

June is Pride Month. A time to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community - celebrating love, identity, courage and the freedom to be yourself. It is a reminder that every person deserves to feel safe, accepted, respected and valued for exactly who they are.

At Wynnum Community Place, we celebrate and welcome everyone. No matter your story, background or identity, you are welcome here. We believe community is built through kindness, inclusion and creating spaces where people feel seen, supported and connected.

STRONGER TOGETHER - FINAL SESSION TODAY 💚

Today marks the final Stronger Together session at Wynnum Community Place, and what an incredible few weeks it has been ✨

This program has been about so much more than fitness. It has been about connection, encouragement, confidence and community. Every Monday, participants showed up not only to move their bodies, but to support one another, share a laugh and create a welcoming space where everyone felt included.

A huge thank you to Lucas from FIT4MULA for leading each session with such positivity, encouragement and care, and thank you to every participant who made Stronger Together such a special part of our community 💚

Tonight, some of us will curl up under a warm blankets safe from the cold, with a roof over our heads and a comfortable place to sleep. But for many people in our local community, this weekend will look very different.

As the temperatures drop, there are locals sleeping rough who don’t have the comfort of a warm bed or even a blanket to keep the cold at bay.

If you have any blankets tucked away in a cupboard and no longer being used, please consider donating them to help someone doing it tough. A blanket might seem like a small thing, but on a cold night it can make a world of difference.

Donations can be dropped off at Wynnum Community Place during our opening hours (or message us as we can make arrangements). Together, we can help make sure more people in our community stay warm this winter. 💚

Jeff & Jenny are two of our most generous donors, and they give with such intention; every item is so thoughtfuly planned. Cans with easy-open tops, windbreaker jackets, even 10Hour hand warmers for those sleeping rough in this chill.

When they leave they thank us for the work we do - but we could never have the impact we do without support like theirs. It means everything. 💚
