Thanks to Kara Cook MP and the lads from the Wynnum Manly Districts Men's Shed, we now have a dedicated drop off spot for your blankets and bedding donations. The Bayside Shelter Inc blanket box is located inside Kara Cook's office on Clara Street, which is open 8.30am - 4.30pm.

It's Queensland Philathropy Week! We kicked this week off at the Queensland Gives launch event at Parliament House. Queensland Gives does incredible work to back community-led initiatives across the state, and we are absolutely thrilled to be a 2026 grant recipient.

We had a chance to catch up with our patron Joan Pease MP and to provide Peter from the Clem Jones Community Partnership an update on our tax appeal (cough www.heritageproject.org.au cough).

We also had the privilege of talking with 16 year old Angus, an Emerging Philanthropist finalist, who started Croc Candy to raise money for learning disability awareness.

It's so galvanising to connect with like-minded people who are equally passionate about backing their communities. A huge thank you to Queensland Gives for bringing everyone together and for making our work possible.
