✨ Yesterday, the Mangrove Community Homes team came together for our annual All Staff Meeting, taking time to reflect on an incredible year of achievements and to look ahead to the future.

It was a day of celebrating what we've accomplished together, sharing ideas, asking big questions, and planning how we can continue to meet the changing needs of the people we support and the communities we serve.

Throughout the day, one message remained at the heart of every conversation:

💚 "The difference you make isn't measured in houses. It is measured in the lives you change."

While homes are what we build and provide, it is the opportunities, security, connection and hope created within them that truly define our impact.

Thank you to every member of the Mangrove team for the dedication, compassion and innovation you bring each day. Together, we're creating a future where more people can access the safety, stability and belonging they deserve.

💛 Today marks the beginning of Homelessness Week 2026.

At Mangrove Community Homes, we believe everyone deserves more than just a roof over their head. Everyone deserves the safety, dignity and sense of belonging that comes with having a place to call home. 🏡

This year’s theme, Homelessness Action Now, reminds us that ending homelessness requires more than awareness. It requires compassion, understanding and action.

Every day, we have the privilege of walking alongside people experiencing homelessness, housing stress and uncertainty. We see incredible resilience, courage and hope in the people we support, and we're committed to helping create pathways to safe, secure and affordable housing where people can thrive. 💚

This Homelessness Week, we stand with those who are doing it tough, and we call on our community to see the person before the circumstance. Together, we can create lasting change and ensure everyone has the opportunity to live with dignity, security and hope. ✨

This NAIDOC Week, we celebrate the people we support, our staff, partners and community members, and reflect on how we can continue to be , work the , and champion change that creates stronger, more connected communities.

We pay our respects to Elders past and present and thank them for the wisdom, resilience and leadership that continue to guide us. 🙏

💜Today marks a truly special milestone for Mangrove Community Homes' flagship program The Forgotten Women 💜
We were honoured to officially open our first major development alongside Sam O'Connor MP Minister for Housing, and Russell Field MP , whose support helps make initiatives like this possible.
This is more than housing – it’s a foundation for belonging and independence, a place for 15 older women to finally call home.
Thank you for sharing your stories so openly, and for inviting us into your joy of having somewhere safe and secure where you can age in place with dignity. Your strength, resilience and courage are what make this moment so powerful. 🙏
The Forgotten Women is a community that has been built to ensure that older women facing homelessness are not left behind. We are beyond grateful for all of the support we have received that has made this moment possible.

💚 Rosie’s Outreach Service is now in Cleveland 💚
Rosie’s Outreach is now in Cleveland every Tuesday night from 6:45pm to 8:30pm, offering friendly, practical support and a listening ear to people in our local community who need it most.
At Mangrove Community Homes, we’re proud to deliver place‑based services and to work side by side with local organisations who share our commitment to dignity, connection and real support. Together, we’re building stronger communities – one conversation at a time.

Yesterday we were proud to welcome Minister for Housing and the State Member for Redlands to our Transitional Supported Accommodation facility 💚

It was a chance to celebrate the incredible work of our on‑site team, who support people to rebuild stability and start new lives.

Since opening in 2024:
✨ 150 people have transitioned through our service
🏠 83% have moved into long‑term, sustainable housing
⏳ Average stays have reduced to less than 3 months

Real people. Real outcomes. Real change — thanks to a compassionate, dedicated team that shows up every day with care and commitment.

We’ve got a little update to share!

Mangrove Housing is becoming Mangrove Community Homes.

Why the change? Because community and people have always been at the centre of everything we do - and our new name says that a little more clearly. 💚

What’s staying the same?

✔️ Our values, purpose and commitment to community

You’ll start to see our new name and refreshed look popping up over the coming months, but rest assured - this is simply a new chapter, not a new direction.

🏡 Today, 17 people and families have a place to call home.

Alongside Minister for Housing Sam O’Connor, we officially opened 17 new homes delivered through the Queensland Community Housing Investment Pipeline (QCHIP) — the first project of its kind to be completed.

Behind every front door is a person who has faced housing stress, uncertainty or vulnerability. These homes mean safety, stability and dignity — and the chance to rebuild, belong and feel secure.

We are proud to work with partners who share our belief that housing is a basic human right, and grateful to everyone who helped turn this vision into real homes for real people.

This is why we do what we do — and we hope it’s just the beginning.
