We have our student Hiori from Japan for over a month now. Today it wad a beautiful day Kings Charles birthday so we all went to Calandra in the morning. We have a nice walk on the beach it was fun and then we have a picnic by the ocean. Come back bit tired but with the handful of shells and good memories.

📩Hello! Some photos of what we’ve been up to with Lola, Ella plus our Japanese girl.
Fingal Head - where we watched whales and dolphins. Burleigh beach, then celebrating at the pub before we lost the State of Origin 😢, and Wellington point where we walked to King island and found so many hermit crabs and watched the pelicans. It’s lovely to see the 3 girls from different countries getting on so well.

Every month, our teams shine a light on hosts who go above and beyond. This month’s nominations highlight three incredible women whose kindness, commitment, and everyday generosity make a real difference. We're celebrating Maria, Kerri, and Lynette!

🌟Lynette🌟
Lynette has been a generous and caring host mother to our students since 2022. We have received much positive feedback from students. Even though most of her students are over 18, Lynette looks after them like family (making their beds, doing their laundry, cleaning their rooms, and packing daily lunches). She enjoys showing her students around the beautiful Gold Coast, teaching them fun Aussie slang, and helping them practice polite English in a warm, encouraging way. In Lynette’s own words, ‘the small things mean just as much as the big things, if not more!

We would like to nominate Maria Harriginton for Host of the Month! She has hosted Enishi from Japan for the past three months and gone above and beyond, ensuring she has had a fabulous experience here in Adelaide! She is even going to help the whole group of girls from Mejiro HS check in for their flight at 5am on Saturday!
