Noosa Integrated Catchment Association NICA, a non profit organisation, is working towards the protection and enhancement of the Noosa River Catchment and welcomes new volunteers.

A Noosa Council Environmental Alliance Agreement supports the continuing operation of NICA to;
Develop projects which are in line with our Strategy to benefit the Noosa River Catchment. Work in partnership with a range of community based organisations such as Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundaton, Noosa and District Landcare and Oz Fish. Regularly attend local community events such as World E

nvironment Day, Noosa Festival of the Water, Nambour Garden Show and Noosa Biosphere Festival, enabling NICA to showcase projects, raise awareness about NRM, and promote our educational botanical books. Auspice local non-incorporated groups, such as bushland groups, assisting them with obtaining and administering grants for on ground work. Manage community events such as Clean up Australia Day in Noosa. Coordinate several wildflower walks each year. Monday with NICA; monthly speakers on local environmental topics. (subject to Covid restrictions)
Volunteer Executive Committee attend regular meetings, regional events and coordinate projects. Join us by becoming a member. NiCA volunteers work on bushland regeneration projects and river ranger activities. Check website for more info. We acknowledge the original custodians of the land on which we live and pay our respects to the Kabi Kabi people past present and future.

If you've been thinking about donating to NICA this EOFY, now is the perfect time. Donations of $2 or more to the Noosa River Catchment Fund are fully tax-deductible.

Established in 1996, the Noosa Integrated Catchment Association, Inc (NICA) is a community-based not-for-profit organisation formed to coordinate and align natural resource management activities in the Noosa River catchment. NICA was responsible for developing the original Noosa River Catchment Management Strategy and has since undertaken numerous land based and on-water programs and initiatives to fulfill its aims.

We are non profit environmental org, we work to protect and enhance the Noosa River Catchment to achieve a sustainable future for everyone.
