Last night’s meeting was filled with many chapters!
Our Toastmaster of the Night, Zana, chose “Library” as our theme, and what a library of stories, lessons, laughter and a little suffering we created!
Bronte was awarded the President’s Award for her “Comfortably Uncomfortable” Ice Breaker.
Selda took us on an educational journey with her Nuances of Speech presentation, introducing us to “Edwardo, the horriblest boy in the whole wide world” it was complete with plenty of vocal variety!
Irene’s speech, “Dismantling a Life,” taught us the difference between hoarding and collecting. And apparently, the real difference is… dusting! She also left us with a great lesson about the difference between value and worth.
Michael’s Show and Tell started with a cool souvenir he purchased in Kenya. Before turning into a game that opened up entirely new levels of suffering… and accomplishment!
Wendy’s Show and Tell came with a beautiful story, as she shared Ellie the Elephant, handed down to her by her Gran.
And our Table Topics, led by Ela, saw our guest David stepping into the shoes of a ruler in the 1800s. His kingdom would have clean water, better health and some seriously world-changing policies!
Another great night at Noosa Toastmasters, another chapter written, a few new lessons learned, and plenty of stories to add to the library.
Congratulations to Bronte!
