You are all invited to join us for a special pre-release viewing of the outstanding Australia movie “GUIDED BY HORSES” at the Event Cinemas Noosa on Saturday the 31st October.

Set aside the breathtaking Australian outback, GUIDED BY HORSES tells the remarkable story of Aboriginal professor Juli Coffin and the transformative bonds between young indigenous people and wild horses. Touching on themes of resilience, hope, connection and healing, it is a powerful film that will spark meaningful conversations long after the credits roll.

All proceeds from the event go to the Rotary END POLIO NOW campaign.

If you would like to attend, see the details below. If you would like to keep with the spirit of END POLIO NOW feel free to wear something RED at the showing.

Last Friday was a full house at Sweet Story Noosa with a huge display of customers and staff wearing purple to raise awareness of Domestic Violence. There was a lot of community interest and hopefully more can now say NO to Domestic Violence and YES to Respectful Relationships.

Noosa Rotary participated in the inaugural Noosa Council Volunteers Expo today at the Wallace Drive Leisure Centre and for a first attempt, it was very successful. Besides allowing individual volunteer groups to network, it provided the public an opportunity to gain an appreciation of the volunteer groups in the area with who they could approach and offer their volunteering services.

Hopefully, from the surveys taken during the Expo, Council can now recognise what volunteers groups need and how Council can best assist these groups.
