Meet our newest Shift Leader…

AZZURRO! 🩵

Jokes! He’s not quite old enough for a promotion. And let’s face it, he’d be handing out unlimited snackies to all the Kennel Kids! 😂

But behind every happy hound is an incredible team of volunteers! 💙

Our volunteers are the backbone of Greyhound Rescue. They keep things running, shower our Kennel Kids with love, and care for every hound as if they were their own.

And we couldn’t do what we do without them!

Fancy joining the team? Azzurro is always looking for more hoomans to snootervise!

Paralysis ticks are a serious threat along Australia’s eastern coast and surrounding regions. If a tick remains attached for more than 3 days, it can inject a toxin with potentially fatal results.

The best protection is a combination of consistent prevention and regular manual checks! 🐾

Our preferred choice for parasite control is Simparica Trio® by Zoetis. It’s a tasty, liver-flavoured monthly chew that makes tick prevention easy (most hounds treat it like a snack!).

However, even with top-tier products, human diligence is essential. Make a daily 5-minute finger-tip search part of your routine, and always know the warning signs to watch out for.

We still need your help! 🙏🏼

After months of mysterious bed-wetting, endless vet visits, and a very expensive ultrasound, we finally have answers for poor Lola…..her bladder wasn’t in the correct position!

Our amazing vet team came up with a treatment plan to get her comfortable and confident again 🥳

But none of this progress happens without cost, and the bills for Lola’s medication, veterinary treatment and specialist support added up while she has been in our care.

If you can help, please click the link in our bio or below to donate ❤️‍🩹

If you can’t donate, please share this post 🫶🏼

The 2027 Greyhound Rescue Calendar is finally here! 🙌🏼

Thank you so much to everyone who submitted photos. It was incredibly hard to choose which should be featured in the calendar because we loved them all!

The calendar showcases beautiful rescue greyhounds living their best lives in their forever homes. Get it for yourself, or as a meaningful gift for someone, as every purchase supports our ongoing work to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome greyhounds 💛🩵

As at 31 March 2026, the registered greyhound population within the New South Wales greyhound racing industry was estimated at 14,972 greyhounds.

Of those:
6,704 (45%) were registered as racing
4,662 (31%) were pre-racing
3,606 (24%) were post-racing

These figures represent thousands of individual lives who will eventually need somewhere to go.

Rescue organisations cannot do this alone. We need adopters, foster carers, volunteers, and donations to ensure every single one of them gets the life they deserve.

They are not just numbers. They are lives that matter. Every single one. ❤️

Clooney and his love affair with the sand pit would love you to submit an application today 🙏🏼

If you can’t adopt, please share this post 📨
