The 2026 ADA NSW Awards celebrate individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the dental profession, oral health, and the community.

They also proudly honour non-dentists who have significantly contributed to the Branch and advancement of the profession.

At last year’s ADA NSW Awards, the Honorary Life Membership Award was bestowed upon Dr Mark Sinclair and Dr Neil Peppitt AM for their outstanding dedication and service to the profession.

In a NSW Dentist article, Dr Sinclair said it was generous of the Branch to give this recognition.

“I have been extraordinarily lucky and well supported and I have had people to reach out to for advice. It’s been a great honour and I feel privileged to receive this award,” he said.

“Since my time as President, the profession has always been well served by our leaders. I am still connected with the association and with the profession in various ways.”

Dr Peppitt said his favourite part of dentistry is treating patients.

“I love the clinical side and being rewarded by helping others. I have an intense sense of fairness and I love helping people,” he said.

“I am deeply honoured to receive this recognition. The award means the profession is saying ‘thank you’ for the effort and the input. You do it because you care and you want to help people and help the profession. I have loved every minute of it!”

Do you know someone who has gone above and beyond in their dedication to dentistry and oral health? Now is the time to recognise their achievements.

Nominations will close on 10 July.
