What an unforgettable evening celebrating the anniversary of the Oqyrmanau Book Club!

Under the leadership of Baigabulova, we gathered at Courtyard by Marriott to celebrate a year of reading, learning, friendship, and inspiration. Looking back at all the books and stories we explored together over the past year made this event especially meaningful.

The evening was filled with fun activities, including a quiz, warm welcome speeches, creative workshops, and of course our special awards ceremony. We recognized outstanding participants with nominations such as Best Costume, Headliner of the Year, and Best Book.

As a costume-themed celebration, guests came dressed as their favorite literary characters, bringing many beloved stories to life. We also enjoyed a makeup workshop, a traditional handmade jewelry workshop, and an art masterclass, which added even more creativity and joy to the event.

Most importantly, the evening was filled with warmth, laughter, meaningful conversations, and the wonderful spirit of our community.

A huge thank you to everyone who has been part of the Oqyrmanau journey over the past year. Here’s to many more books, discussions, friendships, and unforgettable memories together!

Dear participants of the CAA Volleyball Tournament,
This is a reminder that the second day of the qualification stage will take place this Sunday.
Each team will play 2 games. As before, the duration of each game will be limited to 50 minutes.

The tournament starts at 11:00 AM.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early, as the first game will begin strictly at 11:10 AM.

Сегодня в нашей ассоциации Central Asia Association произошла важная смена руководства.

Мы выражаем особую благодарность Гульмире — первому президенту нашей ассоциации. Именно с неё началась история CAA. Поднять организацию с нуля — это огромный труд, ответственность и постоянная работа, которая часто остаётся «за кадром». Благодаря её усилиям, настойчивости и вере в идею было заложено прочное основание для всего, что мы имеем сегодня.

С радостью объявляем, что новым президентом стал Дилшод. Мы уверены, что его лидерство принесёт новые идеи, развитие и ещё большее объединение нашей многонациональной общины.

Central Asia Association — это про единство, поддержку и развитие вне зависимости от границ, и сегодняшние изменения — ещё одно подтверждение нашей общей силы.

Благодарим вас за регистрацию и участие в волейбольном турнире.

В турнире принимают участие 4 команды:

1. Jurttyn Balasy - Kazakh community
2. Team Tumar - Kyrgyz community
3. Team Uzbekistan - Uzbek community
4. West Coast Batyrlar - Tatar community

Формат соревнований (отборочный этап)
Соревнования проводятся по круговой системе в рамках отборочного этапа.

Каждая команда проводит 3 матча.

Календарь игр (расписание матчей) и порядок соперников определены методом случайной жеребьёвки.

Первые два матча для каждой команды состоятся 3 мая.
Внимание: 3го Мая двери открываются в 11.00 и у команд будет 1 час на свободную тренировку.

Система начисления очков
Победа — 1 очко
Поражение — 0 очков
(ничейный результат не предусмотрен)

По итогам отборочного этапа:

2 команды, набравшие наибольшее количество очков, выходят в финал и играют матч за 1-е место.

Команды, занявшие 3-е и 4-е места, проводят матч за 3-е место.

При равенстве очков у двух или более команд:

Преимущество определяется по общему количеству выигранных розыгрышей (забитых мячей).

Регламент матчей
Отборочный этап:
Разминка — 10 минут
Матч — 50 минут (с ограничением по времени)

Финальные матчи:

Проводятся по классическому формату — до 2 побед в партиях (best of 3)

Dear participants,

Thank you for registering and taking part in our volleyball tournament.

A total of 4 teams are competing:

1. Jurttyn Balasy - Kazakh community

2. Team Tumar - Kyrgyz community

3. Team Uzbekistan - Uzbek community

4. West Coast Batyrlar - Tatar community

Competition Format (Qualification Round)
The tournament will follow a round-robin format during the qualification stage.

Each team will play 3 matches.

The match schedule and order of opponents have been determined by random draw.

The first two matches for each team will be played on May 3rd.
Please note: on 3d of May doors open at 11.00 and teams will have 1 hour for free training.

Points System
Win — 1 point
Loss — 0 points
(draws are not applicable)

At the end of the qualification stage:

The top 2 teams (based on points) will advance to the Final (match for 1st place).

Teams placed 3rd and 4th will compete for 3rd place.

If teams are tied on points:

Ranking will be determined by the total number of points scored (rallies won).

Match Regulations
Qualification matches:

Warm-up — 10 minutes

Final matches:

Played in standard format — best of 3 sets (first to win 2 sets)

Huge thanks to City of Canning for your support and for welcoming us to be part of the Global Street Party last Saturday. It was a truly beautiful evening and a meaningful opportunity for us to share our culture with the wider community.

We were especially honoured to meet the Mayor of the City of Canning and to personally express our sincere appreciation for his ongoing support of communities like ours. Moments like these remind us how important connection, inclusion, and cultural exchange are.

As we reflect on our beautiful Nowruz celebration in Perth, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to two incredible leaders who have supported the Central Asian Association from the very beginning.

We were honoured to welcome Stirbinskis Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Western Australia, and Tatsiy, representative of the Ukrainian community, who both joined us to celebrate Nowruz and continue supporting our growing community.

From the very first steps of the CAA just a few months ago, both Jason and Andriy have been there — offering guidance, sharing experience, and encouraging us to move forward. Their support has been invaluable.

Jason consistently highlights the importance of having a Kazakh-speaking interpreter in Western Australia — something we are still actively looking for. If anyone in our community has recommendations, we would warmly welcome them. This is an important step in strengthening support for our growing community.

We are also deeply grateful to Andriy for generously sharing the Ukrainian community’s journey, including how their school was established, along with valuable insights into legal structures and community-building in Australia. These conversations have helped us shape our own path and avoid many early challenges.

Your support, openness, and willingness to help truly demonstrate the power of multicultural collaboration and community spirit. 🤝
