FROTH IS BACK FOR ROUND TWO 🌀

Froth Craft Brewery North Beach returns as our Flora Festival 2026 partner, with their locally brewed range on tap and a DJ playing through the afternoon.

Pull up a table, soak up the atmosphere, then head back out and explore everything else happening along Flora Terrace.

FLORA TERRACE, 100 YEARS AGO 🚗⁠
Same spot, a century apart. ⁠

Early 1920s. A block of land at North Beach could be had for as little as 20 pounds.⁠
⁠
Enter the Secker family, pictured in their new tourer on the original Flora Terrace - behind them, the 1869 Castle Hotel, surrounded by open land. Henry Secker, a North Perth fireman, built a timber cottage atop the hill on Castle Street. His brother-in-law Percy Doyle bought facing the ocean. Many a summer holiday followed.⁠
⁠
A century on, the Castle Hotel is long gone and the vacant land filled in. Today Flora Terrace hums with homes, locals and good shops - but that laid-back North Beach spirit never left. You'll still find it in the sea breeze, the slow afternoons and the easy hello between neighbours.⁠
⁠
(And we'd all take a 20-pound block - about $40 - given half the chance).⁠
⁠

Humans of Flora Terrace EP 03: Phil & Robyn from 🏠⁠ ⁠

51 years in North Beach. Phil met his wife here, raised his kids here, runs the coast after work. Robyn bookends her days the same way - up for sunrise or out for sunset, always along the water. Neither of them could imagine being anywhere else - and Flora Terrace is right in the middle of it all.

Humans of Flora Terrace EP 05: Anne 🏡⁠

Twenty years on Flora Terrace. In that time, Anne has collected all the things that actually make a place home - a good doctor, a great hairdresser, restaurants she knows by heart, and a view of the ocean that never gets old.⁠
⁠
She's also collected the people. A coffee group, a mahjong circle, and every Thursday at Lawley's where Lucas puts on their favourites and the table stays full.⁠
⁠
Twenty years in and she's still finding reasons to stay grateful.⁠
That's the 6020 for you.
