St Mark's Old Scholars' Association Our relationship with St Mark’s does not end when you finish your final day of school.

As an Old Scholar you will remain an important part of the School community. The Old Scholars’ Association provides a means for past students of St Mark's Anglican Community School in Hillarys, Western Australia to maintain a link with their classmates and their school. Members of the Old Scholars' Association are often invited to participate in school events and are a valuable source of guest speakers and advisers. The Committee is represented on School Council and, therefore, has an opportunity to provide students (past and present) feedback to the administrators and Principal. The Association holds various social functions throughout the year and also assists people to arrange milestone reunions.

FROM KINDY KID TO AFL PREMIERSHIP PLAYER

Yesterday, Old Scholar Oscar Allen (2016) returned to St Mark's for a special Q&A with his former AFL coach and our current Year 5 teacher Mr Joel Martin, sharing lessons from his journey from St Mark's Kindy student to Brisbane Lions AFL premiership player.

Oscar spoke about resilience through injury, the power of friendship, authentic leadership and chasing your goals, reminding students that success is built on hard work, perseverance and staying true to yourself.

His message was simple: try new things, find your passion, don't give up when challenges come your way, and always back yourself. A powerful reminder that big dreams can start right here at St Mark's.
