POOPS is a free pet support service powered by volunteers who keep people and pets together in Perth & Busselton.

Go to www.poopswa.org.au for information on how to become a volunteer. It's a very easy process and we'd love to have your help. We assist people over the age of 65 to care for their pet, or a person of any age who is receiving palliative care.

Volunteer spotlight: Diana & Dash 🐾❤️

We think it's safe to say that Diana and Dash from Hillarys LOVE spending time together... and this photo is all the proof we need! 💙

What started as a volunteer dog walk has blossomed into a wonderful friendship, with both Diana and Dash clearly enjoying every moment of their time together. From wagging tails to smiling faces, their connection is exactly what POOPS WA is all about.

And there's a bonus too. Volunteering isn't just great for the dogs; it's good for our volunteers as well! 🥰

Spending time with dogs has a remarkable way of brightening your day. Whether it's getting outdoors for some fresh air, sharing laughs over a dog's quirky personality, or enjoying the unconditional affection they give so freely, every walk can be a boost for your well-being.

Dash certainly seems happy with the arrangement, and judging by Diana's smile, we'd say the feeling is mutual! 🐕

Our furry friends down south need more volunteer walkers! 🐶🐾

Calling all dog lovers around Broadwater, Busselton, Vasse and Abbey. We’re looking for more volunteers to help local dogs get out for the regular walks they love.

By giving a little of your time, you’ll be helping a dog owner who, due to age or health, can’t walk their companion themselves.

We're starting to think Oliver might have missed his calling as a professional model 📸✨

This charming boy absolutely loves posing for the camera and seems to know exactly how to work his best angles!

With volunteers Coral, Colleen and Hannah regularly taking him on adventures, Oliver has assembled quite the personal paparazzi team. And honestly, can you blame them? Between that golden smile, those soulful eyes and his natural talent for posing, he's always ready for his next photo shoot.

Whether he's out enjoying a stroll, showing off his good looks or striking another picture-perfect pose, Oliver brings plenty of joy to everyone lucky enough to spend time with him.

A big thank you to Coral, Colleen and Hannah for keeping Oliver active, happy and feeling like the superstar he clearly believes he is 💙 And let's be honest... who could resist that face?

Volunteer spotlight: Eddy 🐾🐶

When people think of POOPS, they often think of our amazing volunteer dog walkers. But behind the scenes, another team of volunteer coordinators is helping keep everything running smoothly, and today we'd like to shine a spotlight on one of them 💙

With more than 100 clients across POOPS North and numbers continuing to grow, we recognised the need for additional support to help coordinate our services and ensure we're there for the people and pets who rely on us. That's where Eddy stepped in.

Eddy first joined POOPS two years ago as a volunteer walker and, a few months later, took on the role of Welcome Officer. Since then, he's become a familiar and trusted face within the organisation, building strong relationships with both our volunteers and clients along the way.

Now, Eddy has generously stepped up again to assist with coordinator tasks for POOPS North, helping to support the day-to-day operations that keep our service running efficiently.

Thank you, Eddy, for your ongoing commitment to POOPS and for proving that there are so many ways to make a positive impact beyond the leash 🐾✨

Best friends, big smiles & doggy adventures! 🐾

Some moments perfectly capture what POOPS WA is all about, and this is definitely one of them; just look at those smiles! 😍

Kaylee, a very fit 12-year-old Labradoodle from Darch, was absolutely beside herself with excitement when her wonderful volunteer Yasmin treated her to a day out at a 5-acre private dog park in Carmel.

Joined by Samson (Yasmin's own dog and Kaylee's best buddy 🐾), the pair enjoyed the ultimate doggy adventure. With plenty of room to explore, run, sniff and play, it was truly paradise for two happy pups.

A huge thank you to Yasmin for going above and beyond, creating memorable experiences for Kaylee and helping her stay active, engaged and living her best life. After all, age is just a number when there's an adventure waiting and a best friend by your side ❤️🐕

Volunteer Spotlight: Jan & Bodhi 🐾💗

Bodhi, a handsome Border Collie with a nose for adventure, recently sniffed his way over from another POOPS area when his human moved. At almost the exact same time, Jan joined the POOPS family as a new volunteer.

It didn't take long to see that this match was meant to be. From their very first walks together, Bodhi and Jan have been building a wonderful connection, with plenty of exploring, sniffing and tail wags along the way 🐾

Sometimes the stars align perfectly, and in this case, there's no bones about it, these two were destined to be a pawsome twosome! ✨

High fashion on four paws! 🐾✨

Who wore it best? We're not picking favourites! 😍 Zeike and Leo, two handsome Rhodesian Ridgebacks from Ballajura, have been spotted out and about showing off their stylish POOPS WA bandanas and proving that community service and canine fashion go paw in paw 💙

These boys aren't just turning heads because of their looks. Together, they're basically a dog-powered freight train, tipping the scales at over 100kg of pure canine muscle! 🐕🐕💪

Which makes us wonder... how does volunteer walker Tori manage to take them both out at the same time? According to Tori, despite their impressive size, Zeike and Leo are perfect gentlemen on the leash. A huge thank you to Tori for her dedication and to Zeike and Leo for bringing some serious style to the streets of Ballajura. We think they wear their POOPS bandanas exceptionally well! 🐾✨

Walker needed: Melba in Dunsborough 🐾

We're excited to introduce Melba, a beautiful 8-year-old Border Collie, and even more excited to be growing our POOPS WA presence in Dunsborough! 💙

Melba is a medium-sized dog with a happy, friendly nature and plenty of enthusiasm for life. She's well-trained, active and loves getting out and about, making her a wonderful walking companion for volunteers who enjoy a bit of exercise and canine company.

As Melba will benefit from regular walks, we're looking for multiple volunteers in the Dunsborough area who can help share the walking duties and keep her active, healthy and happy.

Volunteer spotlight: Julie with Eve & Zoe 🐾💛

Some matches are simply meant to be, and Julie's friendship with Eve and Zoe is a wonderful example of that!

Sweet senior girl Eve loves getting out for a good sniff around the neighbourhood and a gentle half-hour stroll, while her little mate Zoe is always happy to join the adventure. With two different-sized dogs and two very different personalities, Julie certainly has her hands full, but she's embraced the challenge and loves the special bond she's building with both of them 🐕🐕

Their owner is incredibly grateful to Julie and fellow long-term walker Kylie for their ongoing support, kindness and reliability. Knowing Eve and Zoe have caring volunteers who regularly take them out for exercise and companionship brings enormous peace of mind.

Could you be the perfect walking buddy for Fritz in Lockridge? 💙

Fritz is a calm and friendly Staffy cross looking for a volunteer walker. Like many dogs, he gets a little excited when it's time for attention and tummy rubs, but once those important greetings are out of the way, he's relaxed, easy to walk and happy to enjoy some time outdoors.

A regular walk helps keep Fritz healthy, active and engaged, while also providing valuable support for his owner.
