🐕 TRIED, TESTED & DINGO APPROVED! 🐾

We’ve got some exciting news for our fellow dingo guardians!

After a fair bit of back and forth with suppliers, we’ve decided to start stocking some of the very same harnesses we use on our own dingoes here at Perth Dingo Rescue until we get everything sorted with our own design!

We’ve been using these harnesses ourselves and have been really happy with them, so we figured, why not make them a little more accessible to our wider dingo community?

And the best part? We’re aiming to offer them at a much more affordable price than you’ll typically find through other Australian stockists, and you’ll be supporting Perth Dingo rescue through every harness purchase also!

🐾 What’s available?

We currently have one style in stock, with two additional styles on their way!
Colours available: Purple, black and red, khaki green.
Pricing: $100 each, irrespective of size at the ballajura fair as an introductory price. Minimum of 50$ saving compared to other Aus stockists 🫶🏻

Sizes are limited for our first batch, but we’re hoping to expand our range as we go.

📍 COME SEE US AT THE BALLAJURA COMMUNITY FAIR!

📅 Sunday, 18 October 2026

⏰ 10:00am – 3:30pm

📍 Ballajura Community College – Main Oval

We’ll have our available harnesses at the PDR stall for you to check out and purchase on the day!

And of course, Ada and Aari will be joining us, so you can say hello to the dingoes while you’re there. 🧡

Every harness purchased also helps support the rescue, rehabilitation and ongoing care of dingoes in need.

Good gear, fairer prices, and a little something back for the dingoes. What’s not to love?

See you Sunday! 🐾

🐾 BALLAJURA COMMUNITY FAIR, WE’RE COMING! 🐾

Ballajura, we’re coming for you! 🐕🌿

Perth Dingo Rescue is excited to be joining the Ballajura Community Fair 2026, and we’re bringing along two very familiar, very fluffy faces!

That’s right, Ada & Aari will be joining us for a day of meeting the community, spreading some dingo love and, of course, reminding everyone why Australia’s native keystone species deserve a little more appreciation. 🧡

📅 Sunday, 18 October 2026
⏰ 10:00am – 3:30pm
📍 Ballajura Community College, Main Oval
🚪 Entry via Cassowary Drive & Illawarra Crescent

With over 65 stalls and vendors, food trucks, rides, entertainment and plenty of activities, there’s something for the whole family!

Come find the Perth Dingo Rescue crew, meet our gorgeous alpine dingo ambassadors, learn a little more about these incredible animals and have a browse through our merchandise.

Every purchase helps us continue our rescue, rehabilitation, rehoming and education efforts. 🐾

Whether you’re a long-time supporter, a curious local or someone who’s never met a dingo before, we’d love to see you!

Come for the fair, stay for the dingoes! 🐾

📱 THE RESCUE PHONE HAS FINALLY BEEN RESCUED. 🫠🐾

First things first, a BIG apology to anyone who’s tried contacting Perth Dingo Rescue via our rescue number since April. Apparently, our phone decided receiving messages was more of a suggestion than a job requirement. 🙃

We’ve had intermittent issues for months and recently discovered messages that had wandered off into the technological abyss.

BUT GOOD NEWS! 🎉
We’ve officially purchased a new phone TODAY! We’re transferring everything across, setting it up and attempting to restore some communication-related sanity.

While we’ve got your attention, a reminder about the humans behind PDR…

🐾 We all have day jobs. Unfortunately, bills don’t pay themselves.

🐾 Some of us have kids, and all of us have dingoes, pets and responsibilities demanding our attention.

🐾 We occasionally attempt this mythical activity called sleep. Results vary.

🐾 Lara alone has 4,800+ emails and 60+ unanswered texts to tackle. That’s BEFORE opening the rescue inboxes, socials or phone. Special shoutout to those who’ve bypassed the rescue and contacted her directly. We admire the detective work, but PLEASE, have mercy. 😂

🐾 Somewhere amongst all this, we’re also rescuing, transporting, rehabilitating, feeding and caring for dingoes. You know, the small stuff.

In all seriousness…

We’re overwhelmed. We’re behind. And we’re doing our best to work through everything, one message, one task and one minor existential crisis at a time.

We know some people have waited longer than we’d like, and we genuinely apologise. It’s never our intention to leave anyone hanging, especially regarding animal welfare.

Please remember that behind every rescue account is a real person juggling a LOT, usually with a dingo breathing down their neck and approximately three hours of sleep.

Patience, kindness and understanding go a long way. ❤️

If you’ve contacted us without a response, please follow up through our official rescue channels.

Thank you for supporting us and understanding that we’re humans doing our best for the animals who need us.

New phone. Same chaotic rescue. Hopefully fewer messages disappearing into another dimension. 🫡

Let’s talk about accountability in animal rescue. 🐾

Rescue isn’t always pretty. It’s exhausting, expensive, emotionally draining and, at times, downright heartbreaking.

But it’s also a responsibility. One that should never be taken lightly.

When you choose to involve yourself in animal rescue, you’re making a commitment to the lives that depend on you. Not to your reputation, your bank account, your social media following or the recognition that comes with it.

The animals. First and foremost. Always.

We’ve worked alongside some incredible individuals, organisations and groups who genuinely go above and beyond for the animals in their care. People who give up their time, money, sleep and sanity without expecting anything in return.

And those are the people who deserve recognition.

But we also need to acknowledge an uncomfortable reality.

Not everyone operating under the banner of rescue is necessarily operating in the best interests of the animals.

Being a registered organisation, running a rescue group or having a large following doesn’t automatically make someone ethical, responsible or above scrutiny.

There is a difference between genuinely advocating for animals and using animal welfare as a convenient front for other interests.

And when organisations or individuals are unwilling to be transparent about their practices, decisions or the welfare of animals in their care, questions deserve to be asked.

Accountability is not bullying. Transparency is not optional. And sharing the truth, particularly when those responsible refuse to be forthcoming, is not a personal attack.

Of course, the truth needs to be supported by facts. But uncomfortable truths don’t become less important simply because someone doesn’t want them discussed.

We should be able to question where funds are going, how animals are being cared for, whether appropriate standards are being maintained and whether decisions are genuinely being made in the animals’ best interests.

And when organisations or groups fall short of those responsibilities, they should be held accountable. Not protected by their title, their connections or the fear of upsetting people.

We absolutely believe in collaboration. But collaboration should be built on integrity, not blind loyalty.

We will never believe that keeping the peace is more important than speaking up for an animal that cannot speak for itself.

Nor do we believe that taking in the most animals, having the biggest name or making the loudest noise makes someone a better rescuer.

Sometimes the most responsible thing a rescue can do is acknowledge its limitations, say no, ask for help or admit when something needs to change.

At Perth Dingo Rescue, we’re far from perfect. We’re human, we make difficult decisions and we’re constantly learning. But we believe in being accountable for those decisions and doing better wherever we can.

Because rescue should never be about protecting egos. It should be about protecting animals.

And if asking difficult questions, expecting honesty and refusing to turn a blind eye makes us unpopular with some people, we’re quite comfortable with that.

The dingoes will always come first.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 ‘𝗗𝗢𝘀 & 𝗗𝗢𝗡’𝗧𝘀’ 𝗢𝗙 𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗢 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗖𝗨𝗘

There is something deeply wrong when the words “dingo rescue” are used as a shield for practices that can put dingoes — and people — at risk.

We are increasingly hearing reports and seeing examples across the dingo rescue community that deserve serious scrutiny. The following reports are not limited to just one 'rescue' organisation but several:

❌️ Rehoming known dangerous dingoes without fully disclosing their history or risks.
❌️ Introducing young pups into groups of adult dingoes with tragic consequences.
❌️ Claiming credit for rescues or rehoming that were actually undertaken by another organisation.
❌️ Publicly opposing conservation breeding while accepting pups from a community where uncontrolled breeding continues year after year.
❌️ Using uncomfortable orphaned pups for clickbait and selfies.
❌️ Placing dingoes together without properly considering compatibility, behaviour and social dynamics.
❌️ Fundraising for orphaned pups while not actually accepting or caring for orphans.

Rescue should never be about numbers, social-media content, reputation, fundraising or claiming ownership of someone else's work.

It should be about the welfare of the dingo and the safety of its human carers — first and foremost.

That means asking:

✔️ Was the dingo properly assessed before rehoming?
✔️ Were its behavioural history and risks honestly disclosed?
✔️ Was the placement genuinely appropriate?
✔️ Were introductions managed by people with appropriate dingo experience?
✔️ Was the organisation transparent about where the dingo came from and who actually rescued it?
✔️ Are breeding and rehoming practices consistent with its publicly stated conservation principles?

If we genuinely care about dingoes, we need consistency, transparency and accountability.
Putting the word “rescue” in an organisation's name does not automatically make everything it does ethical.

Dingoes aren't a commodity.
They aren't content. They aren't a fundraising tool. They are sentient Australian animals whose welfare must come first.

If you are considering adopting a dingo or donating to a rescue organisation, we highly recommend Highlands Dingo Rescue Ltd and / or Perth Dingo Rescue Ltd.

🐾 POP-UP PDR COMMUNITY WALK & MERCH STAND! 🐾

We’ve decided to do something a little spontaneous this Sunday! As we unfortunately won’t be able to take part in Pawsome in the valley due to meet and greets 🌿🧡

So instead come join Perth Dingo Rescue at Jorgensen Park, Kalamunda for a relaxed morning with our community, our dingoes and their guardians!

📅 Sunday 4 October
📍 Jorgensen Park, Kalamunda
🕙 10am – 1pm

🐕 Community walk kicking off at 10am
🌿 Meet some of our dingoes & their guardians
🧡 Chat with the PDR team and learn more about dingoes
🛍️ Browse our PDR merch
🐾 Find out more about fostering, adopting, volunteering & supporting the rescue
💰 Donations welcome, with all proceeds supporting the dingoes in our care

The walk will be a casual, social group walk, nothing crazy, just an excuse to get outside, bring the community together and spend a Sunday morning with some pretty special four-legged company.

Can’t make the walk? No stress! We’ll be hanging around until 1pm, so pop down afterwards, say hello, meet the crew and have a browse through our merch.

🐕 Bringing your dog or dingo? Please keep them on lead while participating with the PDR group and give our dingoes plenty of respectful space. Not every dingo wants to make friends, and that’s okay!

No tickets. No fuss. Just a little PDR pop-up in the hills. 🧡

See you Sunday! 🐾

Tetty update 🐾🧡

That way everyone can continue to cheer him on 🫶🏻

Someone appears to have forgotten he’s meant to be taking it easy 😂

Our little man is OUT, about and very busy investigating absolutely everything. Loving life with his foster family, and dear we say (he may be on the look out for a forever home soon) 🙈

He’s getting stronger, more confident and more curious by the day, and honestly, these are the updates we’ve been waiting to give you. Less hospital pup, more “excuse me, I have things to sniff.”

There’s still some recovery ahead of him, but Tetty is doing incredibly well and very clearly has his own agenda now. 😂

Look at those little legs go 🥹

We’re so bloody proud of you, Tet. 🧡

And if you’d like to help us keep saying yes to little ones like Tetty when they need us, any support towards their care is always so deeply appreciated. No pressure, ever, cheering them on and sharing their stories helps us more than you know. 🫶🏻

But if you can the ‘how to donate’ post is pinned to our profile 🧡 every donation, share, conversation - every little bit helps, our village is each and everyone of you who have been here with us, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do, with out you all 🫶🏻

Thank you 🙏 🐾

🧡 TETTY UPDATE 🧡 LOOK AT HIM GO! 🐾

If you’ve been following Tetty’s story from the beginning… this little video means more than we can possibly explain. 🥹
Tetty is in foster care with an amazing experienced guardian, and the human and dingo family has truly taken him under their wing.

Our little fighter is up, walking around, exploring and interacting with his dingo friends, and after everything his tiny body has been through, seeing him slowly doing normal puppy things feels absolutely HUGE.

From being critically ill, rigid, unable to stand and fighting tetanus in hospital… to this. 🥹🧡

Tetty has fought unbelievably hard every single step of the way.

He still has a huge recovery ahead of him and we’re continuing to take things at his pace, but every little bit of independence, every step and every glimpse of that cheeky puppy underneath it all is something worth celebrating.

Millions of people have now seen this little guy’s story, sent messages, donated, shared his posts and cheered him on from all over the world, and we genuinely cannot thank you enough.

For everyone who has been asking how Tetty is doing…

He’s still fighting. He’s still improving. And most importantly, he’s getting the chance to just be a puppy again. 🐾

If you’d like to contribute to Tetty’s recovery please see our pinned donation post on our page or the PayPal link in our insta bio.

We are so bloody proud of you, Tetty. 🧡

Thank you to everyone who has helped us get him this far, and to the incredible people caring for our little man in Melbourne, both the vet team, and Melinda and the family, thank you ❤️

Tetty is currently loving a home cooked diet with feeds every couple of ours, and has slowly started finding his voice, letting that personality shine ✨

Keep going, Tetty. You’ve got a whole army behind you. 🧡🐾

🧡 TETTY UPDATE OUR LITTLE FIGHTER 🧡

We think it’s safe to say that Tetty has stolen a few hearts.

His last reel has reached almost 2 MILLION views on fb alone, which is absolutely insane. So many of you have been following his story, checking in on him, sharing and waiting for the next update, so here it is. 🥹

Our boy is still fighting, and he’s making progress.

Today Tetty got to spend some time outside enjoying the Melbourne sunshine, and honestly… just look at that face. ☀️🧡

He still doesn’t have good use of his front legs, which continue to be the biggest hurdle in his recovery from tetanus. His front left leg is currently the worst affected, and when he stands, he tends to favour his front right.

But there are some really encouraging little wins.

Tetty is trying to walk when supported and can now stand completely unassisted for short periods of time. He’s also able to get his back legs underneath himself in his kennel and push himself up into what the vets have described as a little “downward dog” position.

His front legs are still extremely stiff, so we know there is a way to go yet, but considering where this little guy started, we will celebrate every single bit of progress. 🥹

Tetty was supposed to make one final trip from Melbourne to Perth with the rest of his siblings. Instead, tetanus landed him in hospital fighting for his life.

And now he’s standing.

Not for long. Not perfectly.

But he’s standing. 🧡

🏡 MELBOURNE FOSTER NEEDED FROM THIS FRIDAY

As Tetty moves into the next stage of his recovery, we are putting the call out for a special foster carer in or around Melbourne who is be able to care for him from this Friday (duration unknown).

Given Tetty’s condition and ongoing recovery, we are specifically looking for an experienced foster who is confident providing the level of care, patience and supervision this little man will need.

If you are in Melbourne or the surrounding area, have suitable fostering experience and genuinely feel you could give Tetty the safe and supportive environment he needs while he continues to recover, please reach out to Perth Dingo Rescue.

Send us a message and we can provide you with a foster application form. Please also include a little bit about yourself, your experience, your home environment and any animals currently in your care.

We’ll be carefully assessing applications to make sure we find the right fit for him.

To everyone who has donated, shared, commented, sent messages and followed this little fighter from the other side of the country, thank you.

Nearly two million people have now seen a tiny hybrid dingo pup sitting in a Melbourne hospital eating his dinner.

Soon you’ll get to see him standing. 🥹🧡

Keep going, Tetty. You’ve got a whole lot of people rooting for you. 🐾

22/09/2026

9 puppies. One massive journey. And one little boy who never made it onto that final flight home. 🧡

The Nym 9 were supposed to be one rescue story.

Instead, somewhere along the way, it became Tetty’s fight too.

Eight little faces finally made it safely into our care here in Perth, while their brother remained behind in Melbourne, critically ill and fighting tetanus.

There have been sleepless nights, tears, ridiculous vet bills, logistics, emergency phone calls and a whole lot of “what the hell do we do now?”

But there has also been an incredible amount of love.

These little lives had absolutely no idea how many people were fighting for them.

This reel is just a tiny piece of their story.

The Nym 9.
And our little fighter, Tetty. 🧡🐾

We’re not done yet.
