Artillery mu*****ns, uncrewed aircraft and satellites could be made in WA under proposals from the first prospective anchor tenants for the Western Defence Forge.

Premier Roger Cook named the five prospective tenants at Land Forces on October 7, with several others also in talks.

Head of Industry Capability Network WA (ICNWA), Ray Loh, says more defence opportunities are close and businesses should be preparing.

“Opportunities linked to Austal’s strategic shipbuilding and further defence projects will be listed on Gateway by ICN in the coming months,” he says.
