Last night, our Scouts headed outdoors for an exciting night hike!

With head torches. lighting the way, they explored the trails of the Royal National Park after dark, developing their navigation skills and experiencing the bush in a whole new way. The Scouts embraced the challenge of hiking at night and enjoyed a great evening of adventure and teamwork.

On Wednesday night, our Joeys and Cubs got wonderfully messy while learning all about slime, oobleck, and their unique properties!

The Joeys and Cubs put on their thinking caps as they experimented to see who could make the stretchiest slime and explored whether oobleck behaves like a solid or a liquid. There were plenty of laughs, curious minds, and sticky hands as everyone discovered the science behind these fascinating substances.

A fun night of learning, experimenting, and getting messy

Today, we thank all our first responders for the incredible work they do to keep our communities safe.

Whether you serve in the Police, Ambulance, Fire & Rescue, Rural Fire Service, SES, Marine Rescue, or any other emergency service, thank you for your dedication, service, and everything you do to help others.

We would also like to thank those who have welcomed our youth members to visit and learn more about the important work you do. These experiences help inspire our youth and give them a deeper understanding of community service.

Thank you for everything you do to protect and support the wider community and us.

Stay safe, and thank you for being there when we need you most.

Calling All Cubs and Scouts!

Have you recently linked to a new Section? If so, don't forget to sew your Outdoor Adventure Skills (OAS) badges onto your new Scout shirt!

Your badges are more than just awards; they represent the skills you've learned, the challenges you've overcome, and the adventures you've experienced along the way. They are symbols of your effort, determination, curiosity, and adventurous spirit.

Every badge tells a story, and every adventure helps shape the Scout you are becoming. Be proud of what you've earned and the journey that got you there!

1, 2, 3... WOLF! Congratulations, Max!

At Cubs, the hall is always full of excitement, adventure, and fun activities, but last Wednesday was extra special.

We were thrilled to celebrate Max achieving his Grey Wolf Award β€”the highest award in the Cub Scout Section!

This achievement reflects a tremendous amount of hard work, leadership, participation, and adventure. It is the culmination of many experiences, challenges, and memories made along the way.

A big thank you to all the youth members and Leaders who supported and encouraged Max throughout his Cub Scout journey.

Congratulations on this outstanding achievement and best wishes for the adventures that lie ahead in Scouts!

A special thank you to Gelsominos Dolce Cucina for supplying the absolutely delicious and stunning cake for our Grey Wolf Award celebration! Not only did it look amazing, but it tasted fantastic too and was the perfect way to celebrate this special achievement.

With nights getting colder, what better way to stay warm with a campfire and a delicious cooked spud!

This week, our Scouts enjoyed a night all about potatoes. They learned how to cook spuds over the fire, experimented with making potato batteries, and to top it all off, they learned about topographic maps with a side of DEB potato mash. This proves that potatoes really can do just about anything!

A great night of hands-on learning, and plenty of warm tasty food.
