Congratulations to our award winners:

👏 Best Table Topics Speaker & Best Evaluator: William, taking home two awards for the evening! Will has been on an impressive winning streak lately, consistently delivering outstanding performances and collecting numerous awards. A fantastic achievement and a testament to his continued growth and dedication.

Well done to everyone who participated and contributed to another engaging evening of public speaking, learning and personal growth.

🎤 Evaluation Contest Night! 🏆

What a fantastic evening of critical thinking, constructive feedback and friendly competition at our Toastmasters Evaluation Contest!

Our contestants were put to the test as they listened to a speech delivered by a guest speaker, before preparing and presenting their evaluations. Each contestant brought their own unique perspective, highlighting strengths and offering valuable suggestions for improvement.

Another fantastic night at Toastmasters!

A huge congratulations to Will, who took home not one, but TWO awards, winning Best Table Topic and Best Evaluator! 👏🏆🏆

Congratulations also to Zoe, who was awarded Best Speech for the evening! 🏆

Our Word of the Day was “highlight”, and there were certainly plenty of highlights throughout the night.

We’re also getting ready for one of the highlights of our Toastmasters calendar, our Evaluation Contest on Monday, 12 October. With just under two weeks to go, members will have the chance to put their listening, analytical and feedback skills to the test as they compete to deliver the most effective speech evaluation.

Looking forward to another exciting night of Toastmasters!

An Ice Breaker with a difference at our latest meeting! 🎤

Will’s speech, “Do You Really Want to Hear About Me?”, took a refreshing approach to introducing himself, letting his curiosity shine through. It was a memorable way to help us get to know him! We also enjoyed speeches from Daniel and Arnold, rounding out the evening’s three speakers.

Our president, Dylan, led an educational session on Toastmasters contests and shared the dates for our upcoming club competitions.

A great night off the agenda and out of the meeting room!

Our Hurstville Toastmasters members enjoyed a social catch-up at St George Leagues Club. Plenty of good food, laughs and conversation. It’s always great getting to know each other beyond the speeches and meeting roles.

Another fantastic evening at Hurstville Toastmasters!

We enjoyed three fantastic prepared speeches from Charlotte, Michael and Dylan, with Charlotte and Michael incorporating slides into their presentations, while Dylan brought his speech to life with three different props.

Our VPE also ran an informative education session on Toastmasters Pathways, helping members better understand how to get the most out of their Toastmasters journey.

Another cosy night at Hurstville Toastmasters on a chilly winter’s evening

Our Word of the Day was “galvanise”, and there was plenty of energy in the room with three prepared speeches and 12 Table Topics.

One of the highlights was Scott’s unique and interactive speech. With Scott heading overseas in just a few days to MC a conference, he turned the club into his practice audience, even asking members to mingle and chat to recreate the challenge of getting a busy crowd’s attention!

Another fantastic night at Toastmasters!

Our Word of the Day was Victorious, a fitting theme for an evening filled with inspiring speeches and great discussions.

We heard three engaging speeches:
• Charlotte shared her journey of starting over
• Arnold took us on an adventure through travelling in China
• Dylan delivered his Level 5 Pathways speech on giving effective feedback, featuring a panel discussion with Tony and Liz.

Table Topics challenged us to think about looking ahead, bringing plenty of thoughtful and creative responses.

Our first meeting with the new committee set the tone for an exciting year ahead! We also welcomed our new Club President, Dylan, and embraced our new club motto:
“Find Your Voice, Shape Your Future.”
