Members meet together weekly to experience the joy of singing and learning new music and then presenting a polished performance. We usually perform three concerts each year – two of these are a more classical style and the other consists of lighter music. In recent years, we have been able to have an instrumental ensemble or orchestra, as well as piano or organ, to accompany us. Also, for some of our concerts we engage professional vocal soloists where the repertoire chosen calls for it.

What a spectacular concert we had last weekend! Thanks to financial support from Sutherland Shire Council's 2026-27 Community Grants and Subsidies Program, we were able to sing Handel's Coronation Anthems with a Baroque chamber ensemble playing on original instruments. The Concertmaster was Matthew Greco (courtesy of Australian Brandenburg Orchestra) and all the musicians were incredible. It was a rare treat for us all - choristers and audience! Thank you! The audience reaction says it all...

What a wonderful morning of music-making with Sydney Chamber Choir. Thank you for coming to the Shire!

Today we shared our Look Up to the Sky program with an appreciative audience in Sutherland. It was fantastic to revisit some fabulous Australian and Scandinavian works and to check out the recently renovated Sutherland Pavilion, as part of their Tuesday morning concert series. Thanks to Hayden Barrington and the Sutherland Shire Choral Society for hosting us and singing with us!
