Looking great!
Thank you again to Sutherland Council Waste Management for their continued and increasing efforts in keeping The Baths as rubbish free as possible.
The place looks fantastic when clean and tidy!
We also been in correspondence this week with NSW Fisheries and NSW Government Minister for Primary Industries and Regional development in regard to strategies keeping the Baths area clean and environmentally sustainable.
A huge thanks also to the resident who did an outstanding job in retrieving discarded chairs. Bravo!

Hi everyone. It continues to be a ridiculously busy time in regard to fishing at Gymea Bay Baths. Thank you to those who have contacted us to put forward suggestions about how to combat and / or accomdate these massive crowds and keep the Baths area both enivronmentally sustainable and this area the beautiful place it is and should always be. We are always working with numerous levels of government with differing levels of success to ensure the area remains clean, tidy and a valuable community asset. Thanks for your support and please continue to contact us if you can offer help in any way.

This week and so far this weekend , Gymea Bay Baths have been absolutely packed, mostly with people fishing. We are doing our best along with Council workers and fisheries to keep the area clean as possible but it's a struggle. If you are in the area, including fishing, any help in taking rubbish away would be ever so greatly appreciated. We are working on practical solutions and open to public suggestions on how to ensure this beautiful part of the world remains beautiful. Please contact or comment if you can assist in any way not only this weekend but in the future also. Thanks.

It's been a very busy summer down The Baths but a huge thank you to Cameron from Sutherland Shire Council and associated workers who have increased the emptying of rubbish bins and added extra signage to combat the extra litter that accumulates, especially this time of year.
EVERY little bit of support helps in keeping this area clean and tidy.
If anyone wishes also to help out in picking up any litter whilst visiting or passing through The Baths or Coonong Creek area, we have bags, gloves etc to help you out.
Thanks for your support!

Hi everyone. A proposal has been put forward by two members of BAYCARE Gymea Bay in relation to the purchasing and utilisation of The WasteShark. ( See attached link). In short, the idea would be setting up Baycare as a charity for funds to be directed through. Govt departments and Corporate entities have already expressed interest in being involved in this also. A small core group is needed for this to occur however. The WasteShark does looks like a handy utility for both Gymea Bay and other Sutherland Shire Waterways . Allira and Jensen Wade, who have put this proposal forward and are willing to explain in more detail at a later date the procedures and plans but for the moment please let BAYCARE know via DM or 0487 186 382 if you are interested and / or require further information.

The WasteShark is a small autonomous surface vessel (ASV) that excels in efficiently handling aquatic floating waste
