💙🌸AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION🌸💙

Meet Nala & Napoleon: The Ultimate Bonded Pair!

Nala | 2yrs | Female | Siberian Husky
Napoleon | 14mnths | Male | Siberian Husky x Shepherd

Looking for a double dose of love, affection, and everyday companionship? Nala (mum) and Napoleon (son) are a gorgeous, smart, and deeply affectionate pair searching for a forever home where they can stay together.

🐾About the Duo
Nala and Napoleon are the perfect balance of playful and relaxed. They love spending their days chasing each other around the yard, playing a friendly game of tug-of-war, or simply soaking up the good life. Nala is a sun-seeker who would happily bask in the yard all afternoon, while Napoleon takes his job as household watcher very seriously, enjoying a cozy spot near the door to watch the world go by. Once their day is done, all both of them want is to be inside, close to their humans.

🐾Personality & Household Fit
Family Match: Best suited to an active couple or a family with teenagers/older kids who can give them plenty of love and consistent boundaries.
Indoor Enthusiasts: These two are indoor dogs at heart. They need a home where they have access to be inside with the family most of the time.
Other Pets: They do best without cats or pocket pets (they do like to watch the birds!), but they generally get along fine around other dogs. Nala may match another dog’s energy if provoked, while Napoleon is blissfully oblivious.
Kids: They have done well around dog-savvy young children, though Napoleon can get a bit overwhelmed if things get too high-energy, making a calmer or older-kid household ideal.

🐾On the Go & At Home
Walking: They walk well on lead, sit nicely at road crossings, and must be walked together. They enjoy either a solid 45+ minute daily walk or two shorter morning and evening strolls. (Just keep a light eye out for motorbikes, as Napoleon finds them a bit spooky!)
Storms & Grooming: Zero storm anxiety here they sleep right through them! Plus, both love being brushed and will happily soak up the spa treatment.
Manners & Intelligence: Both dogs are quick learners who recall well, understand "No" and "Get down," and are eager to please. Nala knows sit, paw, gentle, wait, and stay. Napoleon has mastered sit and wait (as long as a treat isn't right in front of his nose!).

🐾Work in Progress (The Honest Stuff)
Every dog has a few quirks, and Nala and Napoleon are working on theirs like pros:
Food Motivation: Napoleon's brain briefly exits the building when food is involved! He eats from a slow feeder and is working hard on learning patience around mealtimes.
Manners: Nala gets so excited to see you that she sometimes jumps up to say hello, though she’s improving quickly with gentle reminders. She can also dig if left outside alone for too long.
Chewing: Napoleon occasionally chews non-toys when he feels unsettled, but he is rapidly growing out of it as he settles into a routine.
Nala and Napoleon are a loving, ready made family unit waiting to bring endless warmth and joy to the right home.

❌URGENT FOSTER HOMES NEEDED❌

Located Melbourne

We have 7 Huskies from the same home who urgently need foster placement.

We have secured foster homes for 2 of them with two of our amazing carers, but we desperately need foster homes for the remaining 5.

These dogs have not had the easiest start. They are all extremely thin and have very little muscle mass, so physically they have a long way to go. Some are very shut down and fearful, while others are vocal and seeking attention.

What they all need now is time, patience and a safe environment where they can begin to decompress and learn what life can be like outside of the environment they have known.

They don’t need someone to fix everything overnight. They need people who are prepared to give them time, allow them to come out of their shells at their own pace and help them build confidence and trust.

All dogs have been vet checked and will be desexed prior to release into foster care.

We have detailed information on each dog and are happy to talk through their individual needs with suitable foster applicants. We will do our best to match each dog with the right home and provide ongoing support throughout their foster journey.

🐾 Xander

Xander-6-8 months? Shy and fearful. Doesn’t understand the lead so can bite and snap at it.
He is being cared for using our fear protocol and will need a very patient and understanding foster home.

His rehabilitation will be about giving him time, space and consistency while learns that he is safe. He will need someone who is happy to celebrate the small steps as his confidence slowly grows.

🐾 Rip

Rip is a tall Agouti male who is very thin and lacking muscle. He will approach for treats, which is a positive starting point, but he is very shut down outside of his pen.

He has reportedly growled at other dogs and appears to be fearful rather than confident. He will need a patient foster home that understands he may need time to decompress and feel secure before we see his true personality.

🐾 Oz

Oz appears to be a young adult, possibly around 10 to 12 months old.

He is friendly, takes food and seeks attention, although he is still very thin and physically underdeveloped. With stability, routine and patience, we hope to see him continue to gain confidence and learn how to simply be a young Husky.

🐾 Ripple

Ripple is a 7 year old male and currently appears to be one of the easiest of the group.

He is friendly, enjoys attention and treats. He is still very thin and will need a home where he can settle, recover physically and start to enjoy a more normal life.

🐾 Giles

Giles is friendly, takes food and is a very vocal boy.

He may be related to Buffy although we are still working through their history. His ears are very damaged at the tips, making it difficult to accurately estimate his age without being able to assess his teeth.

Like the others, he needs time to recover physically and a stable home where he can begin to settle and build trust.

❤️ These dogs don’t need perfection. They need patience.

Some will need more rehabilitation than others. Some may take weeks or months to truly come out of their shells. We want to give them the opportunity to learn that people can be kind, homes can be safe and life doesn’t always have to be about simply surviving.

Our foster carers are supported every step of the way. We provide food, bedding, veterinary care and ongoing support.

If you have the patience, compassion and a safe home to give one of these Huskies a chance, please contact us.

We cannot help them without foster homes.

Please share. Their future depends on us finding the right people for them. ❤️

ON HOLD

✨ ATHENA – The PocketSized Husky With a Giant Heart ✨
5 years old | Siberian Husky | Female

Located Melbourne

Meet Athena, the sweet, silly, waterloving husky girl who is ready to find her forever family. She’s the perfect blend of goofball, cuddle bug, adventure buddy, and emotional support comedian. If you’ve ever wanted a husky who is both majestic and adorably derpy… this is your girl.

🌸 About Athena
Athena is a beautiful Siberian Husky with sparkling blue eyes, a huge personality, and enough charm to win over every human she meets. She’s full of affection, energy, and classic husky sass. Whether she’s splashing in water (she’s a certified water baby), zooming around on adventures, hiking, or playing with her husky squad at the park, Athena brings joy and laughter everywhere she goes.
Her humans sadly had to relocate overseas and couldn’t bring her due to housing restrictions. She’s now living with one of our amazing foster carers and has settled in beautifully. They cannot stop talking about how sweet, funny, and easy she is to have around.

❣️ Best Qualities
• Affection queen – belly rubs, head pats, leaning on you for love
• Loves - hanging out on the couch watching Sport or your favourite Netflix Show
• Huge FOMO – must know what everyone is doing at all times
• Play machine – always ready for a game of Fetch, inside or outside
• Independent snuggler – sleeps happily on her bed at night
• Officehour angel – literally entertains herself with toys and naps
• Pocket husky – short, stumpy, and no bigger than a labrador
Athena is the kind of dog who makes you smile just by existing.

🐾 Training & Manners
Athena is a clever girl with a big food brain. She knows:
• Sit
• Paw
• Bark on command
• “Speak” with her signature awoo

She’s very foodmotivated, which makes training fun and easy. She can get a little overexcited with highvalue treats, so calm structure works best for her.

🚶🏼 Exercise & Energy
Athena is an active girl who thrives with adventure. She loves:
• Long walks
• Hikes
• Runs
• Exploring new places
Once she’s had her exercise, she switches off beautifully indoors and becomes a quiet, chilled companion for the rest of the day.

🐕 Social Life
Athena is extremely extroverted and assumes every dog wants to be her best friend. She regularly plays with huskies, golden retrievers, and labradors at the park.
Her only rule: She does not share her favourite ball.Everyone must have their own ball… or no ball at all.
She would thrive in a home with an older dog of similar sizewho can match her energy but also help her settle.

👧🏻 Kids
Athena has played fetch and received pats from children under 5 in group settings. She’s gentle and friendly, but she hasn’t lived with young kids before. Older children would be a great match.

🗣️ Typical Husky Personality
Athena is expressive, silly, and full of character. She will bark occasionally while you are eating breakfast 9for some reason that is the only meal..lol) but she will speak on command because her humans taught her she has a voice. She is wonderfully derpy in all the best husky ways.

🚙 Car Travel
Road trips? No problem. Athena has done countless 3–4-hourdrives for hiking adventures. She’s calm, relaxed, and completely unfazed by:
• No Car anxiety
• No Car sickness
• Her humans’ terrible loud singing

🏠 House Training & Home Life
Athena is fully house trained and uses the backyard for her business. She’s neutral about baths and prefers warm water (just like her humans).
She has a high food drive, so any fallen food is likely to disappear before it hits the ground. Countersurfing is a sport she excels in.

🍖 Food & Diet
Athena loves:
• Kibble
• Raw diet
• Treats
• And most importantly… bread
Bread is her kryptonite. Training may temporarily cease if bread enters the chat. She has no food allergies and is a big eater—don’t fall for her “I didn’t have dinner yet” face.

⚠️ Important Information
• Athena is a digger, but not an escape artist
• She digs to make a comfy mud bed, not to run away
• She loves mud, water, and messy fun
• Secure fencing is essential
• She has had seizures growing up and recovers quickly but is not on lifelong medication

🐱 Other Pets
Untested with cats or pocket pets. She may genuinely have never seen a cat in her life.

💗 Athena’s Perfect Home
Athena would thrive with:
• An active family
• A secure yard
• Someone who loves adventures
• Someone who appreciates husky quirks
• Possibly an older dog companion
• Plenty of affection, structure, and play
She is ready to give her whole heart to the right family.
If you’d like to meet Athena or learn more about adopting her, we’d love to chat. She’s truly a onceinalifetime husky girl.

FOSTER OR ADOPTION URGENTLY NEEDED

Tash | 1 yr 4m | Female | American Akita
Located Melb

This lovely young Akita is currently in the shelter and is really deserving of the chance to get out of the pound environment.

She is very friendly and has already formed some favourite relationships with the shelter attendants. She enjoys their company and has shown herself to be an easygoing girl who is comfortable interacting with people.

During her assessment, she was also very sensible around other dogs. When a dog was being walked along the fence, she was interested and distracted by what was happening, but she was easily called away and showed no reaction or concern towards the other dog.

For an Akita, she has presented as a particularly easy girl compared with what can be typical of the breed. Of course, Akitas can become more confident and assertive once they settle into a home, so her future family will need to understand the breed and be prepared for her personality to develop as she becomes comfortable.

For this reason, we would ideally like to see her go to an only dog home if her new family has never owned an Akita before. A home with another compatible dog could potentially be considered for someone with previous Akita or similar breed experience, subject to careful introductions and ongoing management.

She is friendly, responsive to her people and has shown us that she has plenty of potential to be a wonderful companion.

We would love to see this girl out of the pound and into a home where she can finally relax and be herself. ❤️

🖤 AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION 🖤

Khwai | Male | 5yr old | Siberian Husky
Located Victoria

Khwai is a beautiful Siberian Husky who came into his family after being adopted from the RSPCA in September 2022. He has grown into a wonderful family dog who loves his people and enjoys being part of everyday family life.
Khwai is fantastic with children and has lived happily alongside a young child since he was a newborn. He is gentle, affectionate and comfortable around children.
He is also social with other dogs and loves having canine friends around. He is playful, energetic and has been socialised at home, dog parks and dog beaches. A home with another friendly, playful dog would be a great fit for Khwai.
He is the dominant male of the two dogs he currently lives with, so while he would love a canine companion, he would be best matched with a dog that is confident and comfortable with his energetic and playful personality, rather than another strongly dominant dog.
Khwai loves being active and his favourite things include running on the beach, swimming, playing tug of war and going on adventures. He is a great traveller and enjoys car trips.
He has had plenty of training, including obedience classes and around a year of agility training. He is very food motivated and knows a good range of commands and tricks. He walks beautifully on lead and has even been happily walked alongside a pram.
His recall is excellent when there are treats and no tempting distractions, but he should not be off lead in areas where wildlife or livestock may be present. A secure, high fenced yard is essential, as Khwai can jump fences when motivated.
He also enjoys digging, particularly when trying to cool down, and has typical Husky tendencies such as jumping and climbing.
Khwai is not suitable to live with cats due to his strong chasing instinct.
He is generally a relatively quiet Husky. He may bark when people arrive, usually from excitement, and will occasionally howl when he hears sirens, but he is not particularly vocal.
Khwai is looking for an active family who understands Huskies and can provide him with secure fencing, companionship, exercise and plenty of opportunities to be part of the family. In return, they will have a loving, playful and wonderfully social Husky who has so much to give. ❤️
