September may be over, but Footy Colours Day celebrations are still going strong!

To everyone who's worn their colours, organised an event, rallied their community or made a donation – THANK YOU!

🏉 1,334 schools, workplaces and sporting clubs involved!

Every dollar raised helps Fight Cancer Foundation provide accommodation for families who need to travel for their child's cancer treatment – keeping families close when it matters most.

A big thank you to the wonderful team from VML who spent the day volunteering at BMDI House last week.

Seven team members generously gave their time, rolling up their sleeves and helping out around the House from morning to afternoon. It’s support like this that helps us keep BMDI House welcoming and comfortable for families who need to travel to Melbourne for cancer treatment.

Some families need to stay near treatment for more than 6 months – around 180 sleeps away from home 🛣️

That can mean months without their own bed, school, friends, pets, grandparents, and the everyday things that make home feel like home 🏠

Through Footy Colours Day, your support helps Fight Cancer Foundation provide families with a safe, comfortable place to stay while their child receives treatment.

Plan B Group really knows how to do Footy Colours Day. 🏉

From the moment you walked in, you could feel the effort, energy, and care that had gone into the day. There was food, footy, games, raffles, friendly competition, and plenty of laughs – but more than anything, there was a whole team getting behind a cause they care about. 🌭🎮🎟️🎉

It was such a brilliant example of how Footy Colours Day can bring people together, have a lot of fun, and make a real difference at the same time. And after 11 years of supporting Fight Cancer Foundation, that commitment means a lot to us.

As Childhood Cancer Awareness Month draws to a close, we’re shining a light on the distance many Australians with cancer face to access treatment 🔦

180km+, that’s around 1,000 footy fields lined up end to end 🛣️

For families who need to travel for treatment, that distance can mean leaving behind home, school, friends, and the people and things that make home feel like home.
