IFTR Member Access to Contemporary Theatre Review

Apart from the Federation's journal, Theatre Research International (TRI), IFTR members may access Contemporary Theatre Review (CTR), as part of their membership package.

A link and button is currently being set up on IFTR.org. However, access to CTR is ready and it can be done in the following way:

- Login to your member account on IFTR.org.

- Go to 'Who We Are', then 'Journal'. Click 'IFTR Member Access to Theatre Research International. Click Here'. You will be taken to TRI's page on Taylor and Francis's website.

-bOn the TRI page, locate the 'Journals' drop-down button at the top. Click.

- Locate 'Browse All Journals'. You can either do a search in the search bar or locate it alphabetically (on the left).

- You will then be able to access all issues of CTR.

An update will be provided when the direct link is set up on the 'Journal' page of IFTR.org.

Today’s Keynote: Back to Back Theatre

Back to Back is one of Australia’s pre-eminent theatre companies. For two decades, their singular approach to performance creation has challenged theatrical convention and reimagined audience-performer relations in works that continue to attract wide attention and international acclaim.

In this keynote event, company members will demonstrate their unique approach to theatre-making by showing material from their current work in progress, NEANDERTHAL, and opening it up for reflection. Inspired by conversation with paleoanthropologists, a philosopher, a Lacanian psychoanalyst and six actors with an intellectual disability, NEANDERTHAL is an expansive work that interrogates the themes of extinction and cognition. It will premiere in 2027 as part VIII in the 10-part global ‘Histoire(s) du Théâtre’ project.
