Ruby is a beautiful, affectionate girl looking for a very special forever home where she can truly thrive. At 3.5 years old, this gorgeous Ridgeback x Shepherd mix has plenty of love to give and absolutely adores being close to her people — in Ruby’s mind, personal space is optional and cuddles are essential!
Ruby is described as a big, loving lap dog who enjoys company and forms strong bonds with her humans. She is protective of her home and will happily let you know when visitors arrive, but settles well once she knows people are safe. She also enjoys walks and, after the initial excitement, walks nicely and settles into the outing.

🐶 Dog Compatibility:
Ruby would do best as an only dog or with a calm, suitable male dog following a successful meet and greet. She cannot live with female dogs.

🐱 Cats:
Currently living with a cat and has shown no aggression.

Best suited to a home with older children.

This weekend, our team will be working incredibly hard to help three very deserving shepherds find their forever families.

These beautiful souls have waited long enough for a place to call home, and we know their people are out there. Whether they’re looking for couch cuddles, adventure buddies, loyal best friends or simply a safe place to finally exhale — they deserve loving, permanent homes.

Shaye is urgently needing a short-term foster home while she waits for her forever family to find her. We are desperate to find somewhere safe and loving for her to land in the meantime.

Sahara is a beautiful, intelligent German Shepherd looking for an experienced home where she can truly thrive.

She came into her current owner’s care last year after her previous family relocated and were heartbreakingly unable to keep her. Since then, Sahara has shown herself to be incredibly loyal, affectionate and deeply bonded to her people.

✨ About Sahara
Sahara forms strong connections with her handler and absolutely loves being part of the family. She’s affectionate, devoted and happiest by your side — whether that’s following you around the yard, relaxing nearby, or enjoying playtime in the water.

She loves swimming, playing with the hose, and has excellent recall in quiet environments. She is vaccinated, desexed, and up to date with veterinary care, including minor procedures previously completed.

💛 Sahara’s Ideal Home
Like many working-breed dogs, Sahara needs structure, consistency and an experienced owner who understands shepherd behaviours and can continue building her confidence.

Sahara would be best suited to:
• An experienced German Shepherd or large-breed owner
• A calm, confident handler committed to ongoing training
• A secure property with safe fencing
• A home where she can be the only dog and continue to feel secure and settled

She can be protective and territorial around other dogs near her owner, so she currently wears a muzzle in public as part of responsible management.

⚠️ Additional Notes
• Not tested with cats
• Can become vocal when separated from her person
• Needs secure fencing as she can dig/open screen doors
• Thrives on routine, connection and guidance

💔 Why Sahara Needs a New Home
Her current carer has worked hard to make things work, but managing multiple dogs — particularly one needing this level of individual support — has become unsustainable. This decision has been made with Sahara’s best interests at heart.
