Apollo Music Society Music, friends, and charity. Apollo Music Society is a music society at the University of Melbourne, open to students of all faculties and backgrounds.

Formerly known as Apollo Health Music Society, it was founded in 2002 by a group of second year medical students who witnessed a visiting troupe of Portuguese medical students put on an enthralling performance at the University's Sunderland Theatre. This event inspired our founders to create Apollo: a focal point for students of the health sciences to gather and pursue their musical interests. From our humble beginnings as a small string orchestra, Apollo has flourished to become a well-established member of the cultural life at the University of Melbourne. Our membership includes students of all faculties, even outside music, and also students from other tertiary institutions around Victoria, such as Monash University and RMIT. Since our inception, we have also seen the birth and growth of several new ensembles, including the Jazz, Fusion, Rock, and Soul Bands, a new Guitar Ensemble, our classical Choir and pop Acapollo (A Ca****la) groups, and several one-off mini performance groups during our semesterly concerts.

🌹🎼🎤For the last grand performance of the year, we present to you… Apollo Music Society’s Charity Concert: Apollo’s Garden In Spring! Get ready to be serenaded by our lovely ensembles, with varying repertoire from trending hits to timeless classics.

🔊🎵🎧So sit down, relax, and listen to well-loved music chosen by our ensembles that will make you forget all about your worries and be IN THE MOMENT.

📣Are you interested in joining Apollo's next committee? This is your chance! Our Annual General Meeting is a great opportunity for any Apollo member to get involved in the amazing committee that runs this club!

📆 DATE: Friday 11th September 2026
⏰ TIME: 6pm-8pm AEST
📍 LOCATION: Elizabeth Murdoch Room G06 or Online (Check your emails for the zoom link!)

🗣️To attend, you MUST be a current member of Apollo Music Society (as of Semester 2, 2026). Sign up via the link in our bio and be sure to arrive by 6:30pm latest (including Zoom)!

🚨Please fill in the AGM Nomination Form (link in bio) to nominate yourself or someone else for the 2026-2027 committee by 11:59pm on 7th September, 2026. Note that ALL executive committee members must be students of University of Melbourne.

‼️If nominated, you MUST be present either on zoom or in person to accept the nomination. In the event of a contested position, nominated individuals will do 60 second speech.
