Working in associations is one of those careers that's hard to sum up at a dinner party. But the people in it? They just get it.

The last-minute board requests. The member who emails at 4:58pm. The event that somehow comes together despite everything. The quiet pride when your work moves the needle for the people you serve.

That's the association sector. Dynamic, purpose-driven, and more impactful. And AuSAE exists to strengthen the people at the heart of it.

AuSAE is where those people are β€” association professionals from across Australia and New Zealand, connected by the same drive to make their industries, professions, and communities stronger.

It's not just professional development or networking. It's your people. The ones who've been in your shoes, who share what's working, and who show up for each other in a way that's hard to find anywhere else.

If this sounds like the community you've been looking for β€” Come join us!

We’re heading to Sydney on 24 June for our Executive Roundtable: What’s Really Driving Member Outcomes, hosted in partnership with AuSAE and Advanced Solutions International (ASI).

Membership results are improving across the association sector, but not for everyone. While some organisations are experiencing strong growth and engagement, others are investing significant effort without seeing the same outcomes.

Join fellow association leaders for a candid, peer-to-peer discussion exploring what’s really driving member success. Facilitated by Paul Ramsbottom, we’ll unpack emerging trends, common challenges, overlooked friction points, and the strategies associations are using to strengthen member outcomes.

πŸ“… Wednesday, 24 June 2026 | 2:45pm – 5:00pm (followed by 30 minutes of networking drinks)
πŸ“ Porter House Hotel, Sydney
Afternoon tea on arrival

Only a few seats remain.

Is your association ready to lead members through the AI shift?

AI isn't just changing technology, it's reshaping professions, jobs, and the skills professionals need to stay relevant. And associations are uniquely positioned to help.

Join us on 14 July for our free Open Access Webinar: AI, Professional Practice and the Critical Role of Associations.

Brenda Mainland from Survey Matters will draw on the AI Skills Readiness Index and fresh Australian data to unpack:
- What's actually happening across industries and professions
- Why AI literacy is becoming a foundational professional skill
- Where the real capability gaps are, and how associations can help close them
- Lessons from early work with organisations like the Australian Compliance Institute

This one is free and open to all.

What does driving impact look like in your association?

Maybe it's a strategy that finally clicked. A program that made a difference. A conversation that shifted how your board thinks. Or maybe you're still searching for the next big move, and that's exactly why we're here.

ACE 2026 is where association and event professionals come together to share what's working, what's not, and walk away with useful tools and ideas for your organisation.

This year we're exploring what it means to drive impact β€” for your members, your team, and your industry.

- Fresh thinking from outside the association world
- Real stories from people doing the work, just like you
- And plenty of time to connect with peers who just get it

Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre | 26–28 August 2026

We'd love to see you there.

What's the conversation you're hoping to have at ACE this year?

Association Impact in Action: "A Problem Shared is a Problem Halved"

Sometimes the most valuable thing an association can do is create a space where members feel heard.

When a swim school owner shared that she felt isolated, SWIM Coaches and Teachers Australia responded by creating monthly Meetups where members can connect, share challenges, exchange ideas, and support one another.

It's a great reminder that meaningful member value doesn't always come from complex programs or big initiatives. Sometimes, the biggest impact comes from simply bringing member together.

AI is everywhere right now, but turning ideas into practical action is where the real value lies.

Join us in Brisbane on 15 July for a hands-on Skills Lab with Michelle Lelempsis from Causeis, designed specifically for association professionals.

Together, we'll map your member journey, identify where engagement is dropping off, and explore practical ways AI can improve the member experience.

You'll walk away with:
βœ”οΈ A prioritised member journey map
βœ”οΈ A tailored AI use case and ready-to-use prompts
βœ”οΈ A practical 90-day action plan

Plus, every attendee will receive a copy of the new 40-page workbook, The Causeis AI-Powered Member Journey Blueprint.

Getting people to show up to your events is harder than it's ever been.

Member expectations have shifted, competition for attention has intensified, and the advice on what to do about it pulls in every direction β€” more experience, more networking, more content, better tech.

But what if the answer is clarity, not more?

That's exactly what Julius Solaris brings to ACE 2026.

One of the most influential researchers and commentators in the global events industry, Julius cuts through the noise with data-backed, unfiltered insight into what actually makes events work.

And he's never presented in Australia, until 26 August in Brisbane.

He opens ACE 2026 with a standalone keynote built specifically for association professionals. The people who live and breathe events that matter.

That alone makes the trip worth it. Everything else we're building around it will make it even more so.

Yesterday morning in Melbourne reminded us why we do what we do.

Our Executive Roundtable: What's Really Driving Member Results brought together some wonderful association leaders for conversations you don't always get to have β€” honest, open, and genuinely useful.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and leaned in. Your insights and openness made the room what it was.

And of course, a huge thank you to our Premium Alliance Partner and host, Advanced Solutions International, for continuing to create spaces where these conversations can happen. We're grateful for your ongoing support.
