Northside Connect Northside Connect is a community support centre based in Nundah. All are welcome.

Northside Connect offers a wide range of services to the Nundah and surrounding community including; Information and referral services, social support programs such as ESL, community lunches, yoga, community events, assistance with food, toiletries and other necessities (dependent on donations), computer access and assistance with photocopying, scanning and printing. Brisbane North Community Legal

Service is a generalist community legal service which provides free legal advice, information and referral to individuals on a range of legal issues

The Domestic Violence and Family Support Program provides a range of services, including legal and counselling services, to individuals and families seeking support, advice and information about domestic violence and/or other difficult life circumstances

The Northside Alliance Against Domestic Violence (NAADV) is proud to host our annual Brisbane North Schools Domestic & Family Violence forum & expo as part of Domestic & Family Violence Prevention Month in May.

This event focuses on strengthening the capacity of school-based professionals to recognise, respond to, and prevent domestic and family violence impacts within school communities.

It is designed for school social workers, guidance officers, educators, and school leaders, and centres on:
- Understanding domestic and family violence and its impact on children and young people
- Practical, trauma-informed strategies for supporting affected students and families
- Early identification, referral pathways, and collaboration with support services
- Sharing resources, best practices, and insights relevant to school settings

The event will provide attendees the opportunity to peruse stalls from local support services and have one on one conversations with workers about available supports - as well as hear from expert speakers in the field.

Afternoon tea will be provided & parking is available onsite.

Are you a lover of sewing? Are you wanting to learn how to sew? Are you looking for inspiration and connection with like-minded people?
Starting back 22 April, Northside Connect runs a "Sewing Group" every Wednesday during the school term, from 10am-12pm. Sewing machines, expert volunteers and fun provided!
People of all abilities are welcome! We hope to see you there.

Thank you to our wonderful community and local businesses who have supported us and donated this Christmas. The donations of gifts, hampers and toys for our most vulnerable community members will go a long way to making a real difference this Christmas.
