Over the past two weeks, we’ve celebrated across Gladstone, Rockhampton, and Bundaberg, and we are overflowing with gratitude.

Every Friday and Saturday night, while most of the community is asleep or enjoying a night out, our incredible ChaplainWatch volunteers are walking the pavement.

Have you ever wondered what it actually feels like to be a ChaplainWatch volunteer?

It feels like the immense wave of relief from a parent when you help their disoriented teenager. It feels like the quiet gratitude of a vulnerable person who just needed a safe, non-judgmental es**rt to a taxi at 2am. It feels like knowing that because you chose to give up a few hours of your weekend, a local street was safer, kinder, and more secure.

There is no deeper reward than knowing you were the exact safety net someone needed when their "good times went bad."

We are looking for more everyday heroes to join our crews. You don’t need a background in crisis work—just a heart for people, a listening ear, and a desire to make a real difference in your local community.
