We’re excited to offer our community two opportunities for free haircuts this month, thanks to the generosity of our long‑time supporter Mel from Infectious Behaviour , who has been gifting her time and talent to 3rd Space guests for many years, and our new partners, Sustainable Salons, who have joined us as supporters in 2026. 🌿

🍔❤️ Burgers That Do Good? Yes Please! ❤️🍔

If you needed another excuse to enjoy a delicious Grill’d burger… here it is! All through March, when you grab a bite at Grill’d Emporium, you can support 3rd Space at the same time.

We’re one of their Local Matters community jars for the month of March, which means every burger comes with a token, and every token is a chance to help people in our community who are doing it tough.

👉 After your meal, pop your token into the 3rd Space jar to help us receive a share of Grill’d’s monthly donation.

🌱 A HUGE thank you to Calib from CC Landscaping! 🌱

This week, one of our courtyard areas received the most incredible makeover and it’s all thanks to the generosity and hard work of Calib from CC Landscaping.

Calib volunteered his entire Sunday to transform a space that had become overgrown and unusable into a fresh, clean and welcoming outdoor area for our community. Giving up a weekend is generous for anyone, but it’s especially admirable coming from a new small business owner in the early days of building his company.

The results speak for themselves, the area is now cleaner, brighter, and far more usable, giving us a refreshed and functional space to continue improving.

And the best part? This is only the beginning for this space. Thanks to Calib’s work, we now have a strong foundation to continue improving and creating an outdoor area that truly supports wellbeing and connection.

🌟 Your Support Makes a Real Difference 🌟

Every day, the 3rd Space community rallies around people doing it tough, and right now, there are practical, meaningful ways you can help.

We are currently seeking specific essential items that directly support the comfort, dignity and wellbeing of the people who visit our centre.

If you're in a position to give, these items make an immediate impact:
🧴 Toiletries – Travel size preferred. Why? Travel-size items are easier for people to carry, especially for those without stable accommodation. They reduce weight, fit easily in bags and pockets, and help ensure hygiene supplies last longer without creating extra bulk.
🪒 Razors – Men’s and Women’s
🩴 Thongs - All Sizes, especially bigger sizes for men
👜 Bags - Backpacks, tote bags, and everyday carry bags
👖 Belts - Suitable for adults of all sizes and genders
🩲 Men's and Women's Underwear (Men - Sizes small to medium only)

These essentials help people stay clean, safe, comfortable and connected, small items that can significantly change someone’s day.

✨ Thank You to the Lord Mayor's Charitable Trust ✨

For Christmas 2025, the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust helped us create moments of dignity, warmth, and joy for our community, and we are deeply grateful ❤️

🎄 Thanks to their generous support, we hosted special seated Christmas lunches where participants were treated to a full three‑course festive meal.

This brought together people who may otherwise spend the holidays alone, offering not just delicious food but connection, celebration, and a genuine sense of belonging at one of the most emotionally challenging times of the year.

🍽️ The Trust also enabled us to provide daily nutritious, café‑style breakfasts and lunches throughout the entire festive season.

With demand for food support increasing significantly in December, this funding ensured that every person who walked through our doors could count on a warm, dignified meal during a period when many services reduce operations.

🎁 In addition, gift cards were distributed to individuals and families experiencing acute financial hardship, giving them the freedom to purchase essential items with dignity and choice during the festive season.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust for their commitment to supporting Brisbane’s most vulnerable.

Together, we made Christmas brighter for those who needed it most. ❤️

✨ Thank You, Alinta Energy ✨

We’re thrilled to share that 3rd Space has been successful in the latest round of Alinta Energy’s Community Grants!

Thanks to this support, we’ve been able to purchase a secure phone charging station, a simple but essential addition that makes a huge difference for the people who visit our centre every day.

For many in our community, a charged phone means:
📱 Staying connected to services, community and loved ones.
📅 Keeping important appointments
🤝 Reaching out to support networks
🆘 Accessing help in a crisis

This new station gives people a safe, reliable place to power up, and a little more peace of mind.
